The best states for people in this position are New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Washington. Compliance officers make the most in New Hampshire with an average salary of $89,546. Whereas in Connecticut and Rhode Island, they would average $87,475 and $81,998, respectively. While compliance officers would only make an average of $81,586 in Washington, you would still make more there than in the rest of the country.
