- Develop and design new products and modify and improve existing products within budgetary constraints and customer requirements, and with consideration of a life cycle perspective for the product
- Develop robust CAD models with the appropriate level of detail to support different milestones including early prototypes and production-intent designs.
- Familiarity with injection molding/plastics, silicone rubber keypads, and electronics manufacturing processes is required as it is used on a daily basis.
- Specify materials reusing prior art whenever possible or applying critical evaluation techniques when introducing something new.
- Assist Grayhill manufacturing with early build support. Partner in the core APQP processes including FMEAs, control plans, and process flow charting.

- Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop detailed design documents

Key Accountabilities:
* Geometry creation and manipulation of complex components and assemblies
* Geometry creation in 2D and 3D environments including General Arrangements and creation of drawings including applying GD&T
* Supporting supply chain efforts to procure hardware from multiple suppliers by working with Designers and Manufacturing
* Able to work in and lead team in TeamCenter best practices and understanding TeamCenter structures
* Completing dimensional tolerance stacks and GD&T calculations, as well as full engine layouts and the ability to learn critical blade modeling skills
* Create 3D geometry for the use in analysis and meshing and ability to create or learn creation of 2D drawings and Model Based Definitions
Basic Requirements:
* Must have advanced experience using 3D Modelling Software
* Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics, Graphic Design or Modeling field
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in gas turbine engine modelling or similar area
* Significant experience with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T), and the creation of limit stacks.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule

Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for a Battery Component Design Engineer. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
The Battery Component DRE - Intermediate for high voltage battery hardware and integration is responsible for the end to end management of the design and production release of the battery pack assembly thermal system and related activities relative to aerothermo requirements. This person will work closely with the battery pack technical specialist and lead design release engineer to ensure all requirements are met and properly validated, both via simulations and through empirical testing for BSG, PHEV, and BEV vehicles released for global markets. Designs will comply and be provided in support of the Global Vehicle Safety and Compliance teams in all regions throughout APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and USMCA (including Mexico and Canada). Ideal candidate has some experience in electrified propulsion system design with preference to high voltage battery experience. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Develop the design of related components that satisfy vehicle level functional objectives.
* Coordinate ePT HVBS packaging activities with advanced concept engineering team.
* Execute programs through PDP that meet or exceed objectives for performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality.
* Develop and publish HVBS performance standards.
* Develop system level DVP and coordinate component level DVP with Tier 1 supplier.
