Job Purpose The Supply Chain Management Operations Department is responsible for the oversight, standardization and technical leadership of the internal material handling operations at the Honda automobile powertrain and final assembly sites across North America. The Process Engineer position is responsible for engineering and executing the internal logistics flow of parts through a specific Honda plant to the production line. This position will be responsible for supporting the development and design of internal material delivery processes, working and communicating with stakeholders, and developing solutions through process analysis, time studies, work balancing, etc. Key Accountabilities Support development, documentation and implementation of processes utilizing engineering tools (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST), AutoCAD, Visio, QMF, Excel, etc.) required to achieve project and business plan targets. Areas of responsibility include manpower planning, process and vanning layout design, expectation sheet development and New Model packaging evaluations. Identify and support implementation of process improvements in support of business plan objectives and general cost reduction. Execute tasks as prescribed by and maintain Specified Action Plans (SAP). Create SAP's for projects with limited complexity (less than $100,000). Maintain assigned process design through daily maintenance, process audits, and continuous improvement. Ensure all process related documentation is completed in the standard format, stored in the proper location, and communicated to all of the appropriate parties. Assist investigation of production related issues through situation analysis, using established problem-solving techniques and support the implementation of countermeasures. Qualifications/Experience/Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: Engineering related degree or other relevant work experience Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of experience in engineering role Other Job-Specific Skills: Problem solving and decision-making skills. Role Overview and Responsibilities Summary: Our 3-month summer internships are designed to help you build the knowledge, insight and expertise to get ahead of the competition and better prepare you for your career after graduation. You will work side by side with our talented, cross-functional teams on projects that matter. From day one, you'll be given hands-on, meaningful work and expected to make a difference! Dates of Internship: May 27th - August 7th, 2026 Duties and Responsibilities: As a Process Engineering Intern, you will be an active member of our New Product Introduction and estimation teams, contributing to process deployment in a manufacturing environment and process time estimation. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about the manufacturing industry with an interest in both the processes themselves and the finance behind them. * Collaborate with engineers and operations leaders to estimate processing requirements of new builds * Apply lean manufacturing tools to deploy repeatable standard work to the floor for new products * Analyze data to support decision-making * Work directly with quoting team on new opportunities for TT from the time of bid to initial deployment * Work cross-functionally with teams in engineering, finance, and supply chain. * Help develop labor and material standards on emerging products * Take on additional projects based on current business needs. * Interns are expected to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Qualifications: * Completion of Sophomore coursework at accredited college with a major in a STEM Field (Engineering Preferred but not Required). * Passion for creating positive change and a desire to engage with the manufacturing team. * Creative, data driven approach to problem solving. * Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously. * Organize and complete detailed tasks and project work. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. * This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
