Suffolk University's Counseling, Health & Wellness Center (CHW) is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow to join our dynamic and busy integrated college health center. The Post-Doctoral Fellow serves as a member of the Counseling Services team and reports to the Assistant Director of Training and DEI. This position offers extensive professional experience providing direct services to a diverse population of graduate and undergraduate students utilizing inclusive and multicultural approaches to counseling, outreach, and supervision. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will provide direct psychological services to Suffolk students, including initial assessments, individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. The role will focus on conducting computational research on clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP). Our group has recently completed a cohort of 25,000 cancer patients with targeted sequencing data, which we have used to identify CHIP. This dataset is linked to electronic health records and cancer registry data. We are interested in understanding how cancer therapy influences CHIP and how CHIP affects outcomes in cancer patients, including treatment response, treatment toxicity, and survival. Methodological projects are also available, such as optimizing the identification of CHIP in cancer patients. The ideal applicant will be prepared to lead one or more projects under the direct guidance of the principal investigator, with the goal of producing first-author publications and pursuing an academic career. The Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow conducts diagnostic evaluations with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and other childhood behavioral/mental health conditions.
