The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Design and Analysis Engineer- Fighters Mission Systems located in Berkeley, MO.
Who We Are: The Fighter Mission Systems Navigation, Data Link, and Displays Hardware Team works with suppliers, programs, and customers to develop, qualify, test, and deliver hardware (including its software & firmware) in support of the Boeing Fighters platforms. The team also provides expert technical assistance to government customers on the integration of government developed and/or purchased (GFE) navigation and data link systems onto both the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. The high performing and fast paced Navigation, Data Link, and Displays team is currently engaged in a number of exciting and high-profile development projects for both the F-15 platform (both USAF and foreign customers) as well as the F/A-18. These efforts are key to many of our customers achieving their operational goals.
What You Bring:
Ability to lead the engineering design, development, and analysis of commodities assigned to ensure seamless integration into higher level systems and platforms.
Consultation in the design, development, integration, test, and operational capability of various USAF, USN, and international programs.
Development, validation, and verification of requirements.
Overseeing the definition and execution of critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements baseline.
Technical leadership for critical aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
Ability to support the products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use.
Mentor to less senior/experienced team members.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Makes recommendations for technology investments.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Key Responsibilities:
Must have an understanding of Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), Civil 3D software
Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction various projects
Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, and structures
Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports
Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, photography, or other duplicating methods
Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Civil Engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
Provide Engineers and Surveyors with drafting support
Qualifications
2-5 years civil or land surveying experience, preferred
Two-year design/drafting degree
Proficiency with Civil 3D, Microsoft Office

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Drafter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will follow established AutoCAD standards and utilize drawing formats and design details from previous projects. You will be responsible for generating design documents from sketches, marked-up drawings, and vendor information, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design tools.
Responsibilities
+ Follow established AutoCAD standardization and utilize existing drawing formats and design details.
+ Generate design documents based on sketches, marked-up drawings, and vendor information.
+ Understand and apply pre-design structural unitized systems for D&I Process.
+ Use various office machines such as plotters and document copiers.
+ Maintain drawing files and assemble bidding documents.
+ Accurately complete drawings and other documents.
+ Perform document checking on non-complicated drawings developed by other drafters and designers.
+ Travel domestically and internationally, ranging from 0-10% per year.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
+ Conduct activities safely and in accordance with company policies.
Essential Skills
+ Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting.
+ 1+ years of drafting/design experience.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and its advanced features.
+ Experience in 3D designs using AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or SolidWorks.
+ Ability to interpret engineer's notes, sketches, and verbal directions.
+ Time management skills to complete designs on time and within budget.
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs.

+ Ability to make site visits to the fabrication facility in Red Bud, IL.

Pay and Benefits
