Produce 3D models, roadway plan, profile, and cross section plans, erosion control plans, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, and signing and pavement marketing plans.
Stay current with industry trends and standards related to CADD.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma
An AS in Drafting/Design Technology or Certification in CAD Foundations/Fundamentals or related field is preferred but not required.

The Opportunity:
Gemini Water is looking for a dynamic full time Mechanical Designer (2D and 3D CAD) to join our multi discipline team at our Gainesville Florida office. The ideal candidate will be developing systems in the expanding industry of water and wastewater treatment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Assist in design of plumbing layouts, detail design drawings, component selection/sourcing, and pump sizing.
Assist in SolidWorks, MicroStation, and AutoCAD detail drawings.
Ability to generate fabrication drawings and coordinate with shop staff on revisions.
Ability to generate schematics in SolidWorks and (MicroStation when needed).
Ability to coordinate with teams on site for RFIs if needed.
Assist in site work when required could include international travel.
Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school (preferred not required).
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial product development and configuration management.
Experience with 3D modelling and drawings in SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD system.
Experience with 2D modelling and drawings in SolidWorks, or similar 2D CAD system.
Experience in pump sizing and selection and hydraulic system design.
Familiarity with welding design and specifications.
Experience in any of the following areas is considered an asset: plumbing design and P&IDs, pump selection and sizing, welding design, welding fabrication drawings, water and wastewater design.
Knowledge of electrical design is a plus but not required
Extensive experience generating/checking production ready engineering drawings.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM is considered an asset.
The ability to interact, be able to work in a project team environment with all types of clients and teammates; proactive and able to manage time well; able to build relationships.
Travel and periods away from your normal place of work may be required.
A valid driver's license is required and current passport or ability to obtain a passport is preferred.

Under general supervision, this position creates truss placement plans, truss design drawings and truss quotes along with providing technical support to customers and sales representatives related to truss components for residential and commercial projects. Essential Responsibilities and Duties include:
Using proprietary software, produce floor and roof truss placement plans, truss design drawings and truss quotes using your ability to understand blueprints and customer requirements for specific projects.
Determine design specifications based on blueprints and structural design needs.
Review other designers work as part of a double check system to reduce design errors prior to putting paperwork into manufacturing.
Create shop paperwork that is optimized and batch for efficiency based on equipment used in manufacturing.
Communicate with customers, general contractors, and sales staff on technical aspects of plans which require clarification from customer, Architect or Engineer. Document communication with said parties using excel spreadsheet and saved emails.
Consult with experienced component technicians and management when more in-depth analysis is required.
