CoSolutions is currently hiring an AV System CAD Drafter in Omaha, NE at the US Strategic Command Center. The mission of USSTRATCOM is to deter strategic attack through a safe, secure, effective, and credible, global combat capability and, when directed, is ready to prevail in conflict. The command enables Joint Force operations and is the combatant command responsible for Strategic Deterrence, Nuclear Operations, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Operations, Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Global Strike, Analysis and Targeting, and Missile Threat Assessment.
This position supports the computer aided design documentation of the engineering/design, operations, sustainment, implementation and installation of AV systems under the direction of the Senior AV Engineers. Documentation includes architecture and design drawings, AS-is drawings, system change description, BOM, list of hardware and software, configuration settings, network infrastructure requirements, room layouts, manuals and other technical documentation.
NOTE: This is a 100% onsite position with no ability for remote/virtual work due to the sensitive nature of the work and collaboration of the program team.
Responsibilities:
Provide AV system architectural/engineering drawings for all system changes and new systems.
Update system architectural/engineering drawings for all systems.
Maintain all system architecture-related products created or updated.
Support other documentation requirements: BOM, configuration management, HW/SW lists and other technical documentation.
Prepares and/or assists in preparing correspondence to clients and contractors.
Handling multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously without letting the quantity of work affect the quality of work.
Use feedback to modify existing designs, use problem-solving skills to develop alternative solutions to unforeseen engineering issues, and keep all completed drafts in a company database for future access and reference.

AV Systems Engineering - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the installation of complex cabling, security, audio visual, and communications systems. Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote the protection of people, data, and property.
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
