Position Overview
As a Mechanical Designer, you'll work under the direction of a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager to design HVAC and mechanical systems that meet high standards of performance, efficiency, and constructability.

This position assists project managers and engineers by using software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BricsCAD and Revit to design water, wastewater and stormwater facility and infrastructure projects. Typical duties include:
Conceptual development and final design of water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment facilities
Coordination with process equipment manufacturers and vendors
Coordination with architectural and other engineering disciplines to provide a complete and detailed design
Development of project specifications
Design of water, sewer, and stormwater pipeline projects
Preparation of construction quantities and opinions of cost
Assistance with permitting for governmental/regulatory agencies

GRW is seeking the following qualifications:
Vocational certificate or 2-year degree in Civil Technology with 5+ years of experience designing water resources treatment and infrastructure projects in a consulting environment is desired. Extensive design experience may be substituted for education.
Current AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise is essential.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) / 3-D (BricsCAD or Revit) skills a plus.
ARC GIS skills a plus.
Experience creating and setting up templates and styles in the software platforms.
Experience with Civil 3D surfaces and grading.
Desire to stay up-to-date on CADD software products, tools and versions.
Field survey experience a plus.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills to effectively write reports and business correspondence, and present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, contractors and the general public.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

The Combustor and Structural Parts Design Resident Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet strategic business needs, manage issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy for the combustor and structural parts commodity. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with the CSC (Combustor and Structures Components) Value Stream counterparts to improve the producibility, quality, and delivery of combustor and structural parts. **Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Act as on-site engineering liaison to improve communication and cooperation between engineering and supply chain
+ Work with shops, suppliers, and engineering colleagues to meet producibility and process capability targets.
+ As the shop engineering representative, drive a high rigor into the manufacturing and design integration process and identify and drive manufacturing support activities to ensure long term on-time engine delivery.
+ Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering for all products within the manufacturing site's purview.
+ Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle low to moderate complexity tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
+ Have high levels of interaction with and exposure to engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and industry experts.
+ Use engineering judgement and experience to challenge entrenched processes and methodology to recommend improvements.
+ Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically low to moderate complexity projects to meet technical requirements and business goals under oversight of senior engineers.
+ Lead technical projects with low to moderate complexity through collaboration with field and industry experts.
+ Explain information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
+ Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
+ Work with the Manufacturing shop to proactively integrate design engineering and manufacturing producibility aspects and propose process improvements and or design specifications updates or changes. Proactively look ahead to identify potential future producibility issues and identify abatements.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science with at least 6 years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering.
