This role involves playing a critical part in planning and designing civil engineering projects for both federal and private land development. Responsibilities
+ Effectively use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
+ Prepare planning and designing documents for civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects in close collaboration with Project Engineers using engineering and design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
+ Perform zoning and other feasibility assessments for development projects.
+ Conduct field inspection services as needed.
+ Write and/or review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports.
+ Interact professionally with client and subcontractor representatives in close collaboration with your supervisor.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
Essential Skills
+ Associate degree in Engineering Sciences, enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with a focus in Civil Engineering, demonstrated equivalent knowledge, OR extensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D training.
+ 3+ years of experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
+ Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills.
+ Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting.

Requirements
A minimum of 10 years' experience using AutoCAD to prepare design drawings; (expert level)
A minimum of 5 years' experience performing 3D solid modeling to create process designs in AutoCAD or other vertical software; (expert level)
Civil 3D experience required.
ArcGIS experience preferred.
Associate or higher degree in computer aided drafting or civil engineering.
Possess good verbal, analytical, writing skills, and attention to detail.

* This person provides technical and design services as part of a multi-discipline project team on projects in the Buildings, Energy, and Infrastructure group, in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems for facility types including healthcare; K-12 and higher education; institutional facilities; federal, state and local government; and other commercial/industrial facilities.
* Generates electrical design/construction drawings utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD software.
* Observes electrical construction progress on projects in which they had significant involvement.
* Prepares design computations and assessments, performs technical evaluations, and prepares technical reports and correspondence under the guidance of a more-senior engineer.
* Responsible for completing assigned design tasks within budget and on schedule.
* Communicates and coordinates with the Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer and other design team members to complete work efficiently.
* Reports directly to their Senior Engineer.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering with electrical focus, from an ABET-accredited university.
* 5-10 years of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described above.
* Process-oriented individual with strong organization, technical and communication skills.
* Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from Project Manager and Electrical lead and coordinate efforts with design team.
* Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team.
* Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands.
* Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work.
* 2+ years of Autodesk REVIT experience gained in a similar design-related field.
* Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam.
* Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) commensurate with their years of experience.
* High technical aptitude, interested in technology and staying current in their field
* Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
* Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

BGS is seeking a Mid-Level P-8 Wire Design and Wire Install Design Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida to support the P-8 Modification Program.
Position Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and other Engineering groups) to assess and implement wire design/wire installation changes
Create Production Action Requests (PARs) in EWITS as required
Ensure that PARs provide all pertinent information for the customer and follow-on commodities
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in wiring diagrams and between wiring diagrams and functional schematics to ensure design accuracy and functional alignment of the system
Diagnose and resolve test failures related to wire routing, signal integrity, or electrical connectivity (e.g., how improper bend radius or incorrect coax routing can cause signal failures)
Perform on-aircraft investigations to support troubleshooting of wiring discrepancies, including connector pinouts, harness damage, continuity faults, and configuration mismatches
Coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate and implement corrective actions for discovered wiring issues
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years' experience with wire design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings
