Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, models, and technical specifications for custom construction and fabrication projects. Perform engineering calculations, material analysis, and feasibility assessments as needed. Project Support & Coordination Collaborate closely with project managers, fabrication teams, and field crews to ensure design intent is accurately executed. Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and adjust drawings to accommodate site conditions or changes in scope. Support creation of manufacturing routings, BOMs, cut lists, and assembly instructions. Provide shop-floor support, including clarifying design details, resolving engineering questions, and validating prototypes. Evaluate materials, fabrication processes, and vendor capabilities to ensure efficiency and quality. Customer & Field Support Engage with customers to understand requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback. Provide technical guidance during installation or field construction activities as needed. Respond to customer inquiries related to design changes, product functionality, or technical troubleshooting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related technical field. 2-5 years of experience in design engineering, custom fabrication, construction engineering, or related industry. Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar). Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, or modular construction. Position Summary: This person will work on the design and development of new and existing products within the enteral feeding & surgical industries, overseeing various projects from initial design & development as well as implementation into manufacturing. This will include design, prototyping, material research, component sourcing, BOM creation and manufacturing procedure development. Work is generally independent, but also collaborative in nature with others in the engineering department. Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position.
