About the Role:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Designer to join their growing mechanical design team. Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

The candidate who is hired would provide direct drafting and as-building support to our customer's Industrial Engineering team. In this role the candidate will work on semiconductor factory layout projects producing what if scenario drawings that represent different possibilities for equipment installation configurations within an active facility. The Industrial Engineer will provide guidance related to the overall space utilization and equipment desired to be seen in that location, the support drafter will then create electronic drawings of these scenarios in 2D AutoCAD which will be used by the Industrial Engineering group in presentations, work groups and eventually for integration into the overall building equipment background master drawings. Field as-built work is required from time to time to validate existing factory conditions, determine available white space, develop accurate equipment blocks for existing equipment, and determine locations of existing equipment. Seeking experience with Architectural and/or Structural Design/Drafting related to commercial builds
Office-based role, M-F
Responsibilities:
Design and Drafting: Develop detailed drawings and plans for commercial buildings using AutoCAD.
Collaboration: Partner with engineers, architects, and project managers to create comprehensive design solutions tailored to construction methods.
Plan Review: Interpret and review project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents specific to design.
Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Revisions: Update and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and evolving project requirements.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Requirements:
Prefer Design/Drafting related degree/certifications
2+ years of experience in structural or architectural drafting/design for commercial buildings
Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D), REVIT + Illustrator, SketchUp, Bluebeam, or Adobe InDesign
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Exceptional precision and attention to detail in drafting and design work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Portfolio of design or drafting work required
