Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Associate degree in Engineering Sciences, enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with a focus in Civil Engineering, demonstrated equivalent knowledge, OR extensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D training;
3+ years of experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion is desired;
Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting;
Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills;
Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and

We are seeking a Substation Drafter/Designer to join our growing Power Delivery team. In this role, you will support the design and drafting of electrical substations projects. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality drawings and models that meet client standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed substation design drawings including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
* Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate design documents.
* Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Project Manager.
* Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and client standards compliance.
* Attend meetings with clients and maintain a good working relationship with clients, sub-consultants, and sub-contractors.
* Maintain drawing standards and adhere to quality control processes.
* Assist in preparing material lists and bills of materials.
* Support design revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple offices.
* Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices for substation design.
* Perform other duties as needed.
Essential Skills
* 2+ years experience in Drafting and/or Design

Work Environment
