    We are seeking a CAD Drafter with a strong mechanical aptitude to support cost-saving initiatives by replicating OEM components for plant equipment using 3D printing. The role is integral in reducing costs by creating 3D models to replace more expensive components. You will work closely with engineers and technical experts to ensure product specifications are met, contributing to substantial cost savings each year. Responsibilities Replace injection molding components with 3D models suitable for plant use. Collaborate with chief engineers and Zone Technical Experts to ensure product specifications are met. Perform maintenance and quality checks on 3D printers and components. Manage labeling and data, conducting final quality checks and spot checks before mass production. Investigate and correct defective parts before dispatching to end users or plants. Recreate physical parts using AutoCAD for 3D printing and ensure quality standards are met. Essential Skills Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D drafting. Strong CAD skills, preferably with SolidWorks. Experience in reverse engineering for cost savings. Mechanical aptitude, including experience with CNC milling, gauges, and calipers. Experience in quality checks or quality assurance. Additional Skills & Qualifications A few years of experience as a drafter or CAD modeler with mechanical aptitude. Fabrication or machining experience. Proficiency with hand tools and measuring equipment. SolidWorks experience is preferred. Work Environment The position requires being on your feet for most of the day, working in the 3D printing room or with replacement parts.
