Job Duties:
NEFCO Stress Analysis Process and Benefit:
* NEFCO will provide a design sketch showing the bill of material and fabrication details.
* The design sketch helps the customer by indicating what material is necessary to support the pipe.
* NEFCO will then provide a location drawing of the pipe supports to assist the customer with the actual installation of the supports.
NEFCO AISC Detailing & Shop Fabrication Drawings:
A large portion of NEFCO's work currently consists of preparing Shop Fabrication drawings for public transportation and midscale structural jobs including bridges and bridge components through our AISC Certified shop. * Experience with preparing Nested parts for Plasma cutting in the shop using Hypertherm software

BR+A is seeking applicants for our CAD Drafter position in our Boston headquarters (Brighton, MA). Successful candidates are strongly motivated, well organized, and show professional initiative. The CAD Drafter will take ownership of assignments and perform well both independently and as part of the project team.
Responsibilities:
Produce drawings, using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD).
Coordinate electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.
CAD Drafters work with trades including Plumbing, Lighting, Electrical, Tech Systems (Security, Access), HVAC and Fire Protection.
Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data to ensure that they conform to design concepts.
Requirements:
Associate degree or certificate from a 2-year program.
AutoCAD experience.
SolidWorks and Revit experience is a plus, but not required.
Interest in working with Plumbing, Electrical, and/or Technology Systems department.
Must pass a drug test and education verification upon hire.
Benefits:
Upon hire, CAD Drafters enroll in a 30-hour “Autodesk Revit Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)” course, designed to offer a solid understanding of Revit MEP features and capabilities, from navigating the interface to the more advanced subjects. This GlobaleTraining course certificate is awarded per completion.
The CAD Drafter position is based on a 40-hour hybrid work schedule, including four in-person days Monday-Thursday and one remote day on Friday.

What You'll Be Doing
Draft clean, accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings based on wooden templates, site scans, and sketches.
Prepare detailed shop ticket packages for CNC and fabrication teams.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve technical questions quickly.
Visit the shop floor regularly to ensure drawings translate clearly to fabrication.
Occasionally visit local job sites to verify templates and field details.
Create annotated photo layouts and organize scanner data for templating workflows.
Offer process improvements and ideas that drive accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring
AutoCAD Expertise - 4-5 years of drafting experience in a fabrication or construction-related setting.
Industry Familiarity - Able to read blueprints and architectural drawings with ease.
Measurement Proficiency - Comfortable with tape measures and photo documentation tools.
