POSITION PURPOSE
The Design Engineer is an entry-level position where associates are heavily supervised and are expected to learn and assist with all engineering design aspects of a project. Once trained, associates in this position will be responsible for their own design projects and may check the work of others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design all parking deck, building, and wall products, and associated connections
With assistance, design laterals
Independently manage engineering design aspects of a project with minimal assistance or guidance
Review contract documents to be familiar with project requirements
Attend project meetings as directed; may lead coordination meetings
May write requests for information (RFI)
With assistance, answer questions from drafting subcontractors
Resolve engineering design issues independently (with the exception of laterals)

The High Voltage Engineering team delivers both pre-construction development engineering and execution engineering for High Voltage facilities associated with renewable energy power plants. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support Transmission Line Engineering with drafting needs by developing technical exhibits showing transmission structure pole designs.

The junior designer will be required to review the details of each completed task to ensure that his/her work is error free. The positions require working with a variety of industries, clients, and technical issues. The junior designer is required to track budgets for assigned tasks on each project to prevent the project from exceeding its budget. Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for utilizing Revit and Computer Aided Design (CAD) and various software to model, coordinate and prepare detailed install, spool and other drawings for HVAC air systems.
Essential Functions:
* Generates sheet metal models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFI's, and modeling software
* Incorporates and manages current updates to drawings, models, specifications, RFI's, change orders, and submittals as the project progresses
* Develops full sets of construction "shop" drawings, "field" drawings, "spool" drawings, and more
* Completes drawing/ modeling including: model preparation, some modeling, piece numbering, annotating, dimensioning, and spooling
* Manages time and multiple projects in a fast pace deadline environment
* Generates and communicates information for RFI's specific to the projects and trade
* Generates and manages spools, drawings for prefabrication, site installation/map drawings, and control documentation

Primary Responsibilities:
