We are seeking Wireless CAD Drafters to support the design and drafting needs of wireless site projects under the supervision of the CAD Supervisor. This role focuses on producing high-quality, ready-to-construct wireless site designs using AutoCAD software. Responsibilities
Provide Computer Aided Design (CAD) support and documentation of architectural and engineering activities.
Create or modify detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of architectural and engineering designs with diligence and quality at a rapid pace.
Prepare engineering drawing packages of moderate and high complexity for the design and construction of new and existing communication sites based on existing drawings, site audits, photos, and redlined documents.
Ensure drawings and calculations comply with applicable standards and jurisdictional requirements as outlined by a project manager or client.
Ensure adequate equipment specifications are available and verified by those responsible for design approval.
Review and perform initial corrections on own work prior to supervisor or project manager's review to ensure accuracy and quality.
Coordinate with the Wireless CAD Supervisor and Project Managers to effectively manage workloads and ensure project timelines are met.
Communicate effectively, timely, and respectfully via phone, email, and face-to-face to gather information, promote clarification, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Participate actively in company progress meetings to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Communicate potential requirements, request pertinent site information, and raise awareness of unexpected challenges of proposed wireless site designs to the CAD Supervisor, Project Managers, and other relevant team members.
Utilize site information provided by project managers as well as information found through online jurisdictional data tools and mapping resources.
Maintain accurate project trackers as necessary.
Provide feedback and assist in the modification of workflow processes, team tools, and templates to drive efficiency and quality.
Contribute positively to team objectives and support drafting tasks with appropriate supervision.
Provide other team contributions as requested to support departmental goals.
Individuals in this role receive privileged access and are assigned specialized training at least once a year.
Ensure confidentiality of company information.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
1 - 2 years of professional design experience, preferably working in wireless telecommunications and commercial projects.
Associate degree in Drafting, Design, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), or a closely related technical field preferred.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AutoCAD Certified User/Professional, Certified Drafter) preferred.
Knowledge of specific telecom carrier design standards and processes preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of design techniques, drafting standards (e.g., ANSI, ASME), and industry best practices for producing technical plans, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD with a focus on wireless industry standards and complex tower/site designs.
Experience with other relevant design software such as Revit, MicroStation, or 3D modeling tools.
Proficiency in interpreting and working with civil, structural, architectural, and electrical drawings related to wireless infrastructure.
Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure components and installation methodologies preferred.
Proven ability to prepare complex engineering drawing packages based on site audits, photos, redlined documents, and jurisdictional requirements.

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a remote Senior CAD Designer, with a background in tunnel and/or civil/structural design, to support our growing Tunnel Business Unit. + Manage CAD drafting standards and procedures for Schnabel's Tunnel Business Unit.

As a CAD Drafter / Designer, key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Working closely with engineers to create and modify structural models and drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, quantity take offs, material lists and schedules for construction projects
* Collaborating with engineering and inspection teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all structural drawings and models
* Participating in project coordination meetings and communicate with other stakeholders, including contractor and owners
* Discussing field conditions with construction and operations teams and implementing necessary revisions.
* Preparing detailed drawing packages necessary to perform all phases of construction.
* Performing site walks to confirm existing conditions and layout/geometry of existing structural systems.

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
* Create relevant 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings of various equipment, equipment integration, plant layout, structures, systems and/or components (based on assigned project). These may include, but are not limited to: process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings (Isos), piping arrangements, equipment arrangements, etc.
* Assess models for manufacturability as well as assembly and integration considerations.
* Perform a variety of design/drafting activities for the engineering group including preparing and updating manufacturing drawings.
* Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations: equipment and plant engineering.
* Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (e.g., drawings, bills of materials, lists of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for current and future reference.
* Identify and follow XE processes, procedures, and guides, as well as best CAD modelling and drafting practices, and maintain communication with other team members to ensure the consistency and standardization of practices and design.
* Collaborate in planning, scheduling, and organization of detailed phases of engineering work.
* Adhere to filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
* Maintain system and model compatibility in X-energy's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and Plant Design Environments (PDE), including the 3D CAD applications.
* The role may include specialization in one or more of the following areas:
* Component, System Design:
* Work closely with the responsible engineers to develop mechanical/ physical concepts, designs, and processes to create SSCs related to the project to which they are assigned.
* Assist in the definition and development of system/component geometric interfaces.
* Incorporate 3D representations of components into the plant model and verify compatibility with connecting interfaces.
* For FOAK design, create and check manufacturing technical data packs and 2D detail component drawings to ensure fabricated components are produced in accordance with the design specifications.
* For FOAK design, ensure SSCs are properly designed and integrated into the design of the overall system and/or plant to meet their component level functions and requirements.
* For FOAK design, engage vendors in the design and manufacturing of defined and package systems and their related components. Show initiative in suggesting design changes and improvements to the design of components, factoring in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
* Equipment/Plant Layout Integration Design:
* Utilize S3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D piping design models within and supporting the SMR plant, including but not limited to equipment layout, pipe routing, pipe support design, maintenance and accessway volumes.
* Utilize NX or other CAD software to develop 2D and 3D component designs.
* Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure accuracy, and resolution of interferences.
* Creating Piping isometrics, general equipment layout drawings, material take off lists etc.
* Application of piping best practices and principles when routing piping.
* Support procedure inputs and reviews as required.
* Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively.
* Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
* Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
* Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

* Experience and/or knowledge in a minimum of one of the following areas (based on assigned type of project):
* Experience using 3D CAD software (e.g. UG/NX, SolidWorks, PTC Creo/Pro-E, or similar).
* Experience using 2D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SmartPlant Electrical, Microstation, Revit, or similar).

* Experience analyzing, drafting, designing, and specifying electrical and power systems, according to design standards and techniques.
