Instructional Technologist General Job Description:
The Instructional Technologist plays a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing the universitys online learning infrastructure through the coordination of digital textbook integrations, instructional resource platforms, and faculty support systems. This role ensures that digital content, external learning resources, and faculty assignments are implemented smoothly across platforms in alignment with Tiffin University's instructional goals and strategic initiatives.
Instructional Technologist Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Textbook and Resource Management
Manage online textbook adoptions through Cengage and VitalSource platforms (Collect, Compete, and Connect).
Coordinate with vendors and publisher representatives, including Cengage and other third parties, to update and communicate course material requirements.
Maintain and regularly update the master database of online textbooks.
Coordinate the implementation and oversight of online course labs.
Outcome Assessment Coordination
Set up and manage outcome assessment activities in Moodle in collaboration with the Office of Assessment and Accreditation.
Provide training and tutorials on the setup and use of the Dragon Assessment tool in Moodle.
Department Responsibilities
Participate in quality assurance reviews of online courses.
Manage the department website project to ensure instructors and students have access to current, comprehensive resources.
Update and maintain COL-related content on the Tiffin University website.
Contribute to strategic discussions supporting COL initiatives in online learning, partnerships, and digital innovation.
Lead or support additional COL projects and activities as needed.
Academic Credit Evaluation
Coordinate and participate in Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) reviews, including meetings, evaluation of student submissions, and award recommendations.
Instructional Technologist Qualifications for the Job:
Education
A bachelors degree in Communication, Education, Information Technology, or a related field of study is required.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in academic technology, online education, or digital resource coordination.
Familiarity with online learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Cengage).
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced academic environment.
Experience with web content management and platform-based scheduling tools preferred.

Lead the development, coordination, and execution of training sessions across various affiliated facilities.
Collaborate with leadership to expand the NATCEP program by identifying training needs, aligning schedules, and supporting onboarding of instructors at additional sites.
Develop and refine instructional materials and methodologies in alignment with Train-the-Trainer (TTT) principles.
Evaluate and document student performance, providing constructive feedback and determining readiness for competency evaluation.
Supervise supplemental instructors and ensure consistency in program delivery across all sites.
Serve as a subject matter expert on NATCEP regulations, maintaining program documentation and audit readiness at all times.
Build strong relationships with nursing home administrators, department heads, and clinical partners to support training logistics and workforce development goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a long-term care setting.
Completion of an Ohio Department of Health-approved Train-the-Trainer (TTT) course.
Certified and approved as a Primary Instructor under Ohio NATCEP guidelines.
Demonstrated experience in adult education, curriculum implementation, and classroom management.
Ability to travel between affiliated facility sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience growing or managing a multi-site training initiative.
Proficiency with electronic training records and scheduling systems.
BLS/CPR instructor certification preferred.

The Kids Instructor provides best-in-class, educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities and games for children between the ages of three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. Kids Instructors may also host parties and other events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
* Fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities in accordance with the Kids Academy Schedule

Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $13.25 and pays up to $15.75, based on experience and qualifications.

The Healthcare Instructor provides instruction for CNA, Phlebotomy and EKG classes for the Multi-Skilled Technician course. Duties include planning lessons, monitoring skills and assessing student progress on an ongoing basis, collecting, recording and reporting all necessary information related to students in a timely manner. Attends 5-day in person orientation in Co, Ohio
Flexibility with class times are available, days or evenings. We can work with your schedule.
Teaches the EKG/Phlebotomy curriculum certified through MedCA, and CNA curriculum according to Ohio Dept of Health.
May need to update curriculum to best practices, lesson plans, teaching materials to aid students in developing skills and confidence in healthcare areas.
Integrates computer-aided instruction into lessons as appropriate.
Teaches hands on skills in the healthcare courses.
Attends Clinical sites with students and overseas for safety.
Attends skills lab testing for safety of students and volunteers.

Keeps up to date with professional development and CEU's.
Requirements:
Associate degree in nursing but bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Train the Trainer Certification active with the ODH- To be obtained within 6 months after hire
