Familiar with all common machinable materials as they relate to proper tool coatings, composition, geometry and operational speeds & feeds. Physical Requirements: Strength and Stamina: The job may involve lifting and moving parts or materials, typically up to 50lbs. The ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) is required. Manual Dexterity: Precise hand movements are necessary for handling tools, making adjustments to machines and operating a computer. Visual Acuity: Good eyesight, including close vision and depth perception, is important for detailed work and inspecting finished parts. Mobility: Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching is required, along with the ability to maneuver around machinery and equipment.
