SUMMARY
Duties include set up and machining of metal and plastic parts for machinery using a variety of CNC equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow all safety and personnel policies.
Set up and operate CNC mills, with the ability to make fixtures, knowing when to use vice with hard jaws, soft jaws, self self-centering vice, use of a fixture, and 3 jaw chucks. Have enough experience to make minimum of three setups daily to complete shop orders.
Must process the ability to edit programs at machine and program fixtures needed to complete the work order.
Mill/Bore OD/ID, mill pockets, profile, hard machine, keyways, drill, tap, ream and be able to hold tolerance to .0001 in some cases.
Evaluate and work from blueprints to manufacture parts.
Inspects completed parts to assure they meet blue print requirements.
Ability to use precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth mic, indicators and CMM.
Must own personal inspection tools as well as hand tools.
Document program, fixtures and tooling required for each job on set-up-sheets.
Have and maintain as positive outlook.
Work well as a team in work cell and department.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Journeyman level knowledge (5-7 years min.) of CNC Mill work required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4+ years experience as a Structural Steel or Miscellaneous Metals as a CNC Machine Operator.
Minimum of 3 years proven ability to use & troubleshoot technology, read, interpret, and create from shop drawings.
Must have working experience with CNC steel fabrication software.
Must be committed to organizational safety.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as a team structure.
Ability to work year round in extreme temperature variations.
Must have reliable transportation, ideally within a 25 mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Proficiency in Technical Interpretation and Precision Measurement, including GD&T
