Position Summary:
We're seeking highly motivated, skilled and energetic candidates for a CNC Machinist-Mill (Night OR Day Shift) this includes a 15% differential on top of base pay only for nights.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup and operation of manual machine tools as required in support of CNC operations.
Setup and operation of 2 axis CNC horizontal & VTL mills and/or setup and operation of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills.
Organizes, stages, and moves materials as required.
Evaluates and requisitions purchased tooling and supplies.
RequirementsTo qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required as follows:
Education and Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum four years of machine tool setup and operation experience in an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment, utilizing complex documentation and verbal/written instruction.
Additional Requirements:
Overtime may be required.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.
Follows established fabrication procedures and standards.
Gives feedback on programming or setup changes.
Load and set tools while understanding run-out, tool length stick-outs, and proper hold based on what the tool is doing.
Positions and secures tools in tool holders on turret and cross slides.
Load and execute programs.
Recognize, understand and properly adjust dull or chipped tooling.
Set and adjust work offsets, tool wear lengths, and comp cutter.
Indexes turret and adjusts work shift offsets of tools at each station.
Perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints.
Set up and operate machine tools including 4-axis and 5-axis machines
Set up and operate machine tools and machines, make fixtures, and assemble fixtures for experimental purposes.
Modify tools as needed.

Education/ Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma plus 1-3 years of experience in a machine shop environment is required. However, a combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration
Must possess an understanding of basic machine implements- keys, threads, bearing fit and bushings as well as basic geometry.
Applicants must be able to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, calipers, gauge pins, and indicators.
Possess an understanding of G and M codes, machine and fixturing set-up, canned cycles, and work offset coordinate system
Ability to read and understand prints and tolerances.
Applicants must have exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently

If you're a CNC Machinist (Level 2), we have an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and take responsibility for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment, such as vertical and horizontal mills and lathes in an industrial setting. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, moderate decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
** This is a 2nd shift position, Monday to Friday (8 hours shift), starting at 2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Performs complex Set ups and operates numerous CNC or Manual (Lathes/Milling/Swiss/Grinding-OD/ID) machines, and other machinery to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
Performs supporting operations (ex. manual material removal, sub-assembly, etc.) while following established procedures
Performs 1st piece inspections and is required to train in these processes.
Process Adherence: Follows detailed work instructions to maintain production efficiency and accuracy. Skilled at interpreting engineering blueprints and in-depth GD&T knowledge.
Quality Assurance: Uses various gages to inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Records and maintains data per operating standards (SOP).

Preferred Skills and Experience
3+ years of demonstrated machining experience with various materials such as Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Your Role
As a member of Aurex's FF s manufacturing team, you will be at the forefront of executing our mission. As a CNC Machinist you will play a critical role in significantly impacting the company and industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Minimum of 4 years programming experience using cam software, Mastercam preferred
GED required, trade school certificate a plus, or equivalent experience
In-depth knowledge of both 3 and 5-axis mills, lathe experience a big plus
Ability to hold close dimensional tolerances .0002-.002
Experience in designing fixtures
Ability to interpret aerospace prints with a high amount of GD&T
Capable of producing conforming parts to specifications within the required time frame while maintaining all quality standards
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
We are most interested in candidates who also have the following:
A passion and aptitude for learning, along with a great work ethic
Experience in aerospace prototype machining
Mastercam experience
Experience with Dmg Mori and Okuma machines
Ability to program and operate both mills and lathes
Experience in an AS9100 and/or ISO9000-certified production environment

The compensation range for this role is $29.00/hr to $50.00/hr.
