As a machinist you will be responsible for safely setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce the highest quality parts and meet the customer expectations, in the most efficient manner. Operate 3 to 5-axis CNC machine tools to accurately machine parts per work instructions and per manufacturing plan. At all times utilize appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE.) (e.g., shoes, gloves, masks, etc.) to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. Perform quality inspections to ensure accurate production of parts throughout the process. Handles parts and materials with great care as well as maintaining cleanliness of them to ensure quality of product and condition of equipment. Proactively supports work of department and team by maintaining communication through Teams/ Email and participating in shift change meetings; demonstrating collaboration and problem-solving attributes. Accurately record and interpret production information in PLEX such as verifying track numbers, substitute part revision, and machine down time, (etc.). Utilize systems to document and review information, including maintenance dispatch, completed Preventative Maintenance, and document measurement scans. Produces parts according to standards by utilizing production documentation, correctly loading, and unloading parts on machine, and verifying part orientation. Strictly work instructions, setup sheets and other production related information. Perform assigned preventative maintenance and maintain coolant lines and nozzle positioning. Set up machines for production to ensure they're operating correctly. Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities.
