Job Summary

Responsibilities
Must be a subject matter expert in the following functions/activities (perform correctly and without assistance):
Able to Run Manual and CNC Machines at an expert Level.
Perform full setups on CNC mills and/or lathes from print or model - including indicating vises, fixtures, and part zeros.
Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models to execute machining strategies.
Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets to optimize quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, setup, and part accuracy independently.
Ensure in-process inspection and first article inspection compliance.
Collaborate with engineers and programmers to refine setups and improve processes.
What You Bring:
5+ years of CNC machining experience, with a strong emphasis on complex setups and first-run parts.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and setup sheets.
Strong understanding of machine offsets, tool presetting, and basic G/M code.
Experience with multi-axis machining or live tooling.
Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing
At least 5 years of relevant experience in machining manufacturing.

Plan jobs and lay out dimensions on parts per prints
Set up and operate machinery to cut, shape, or form parts to specifications.
Ensures work pieces are lubricated and cooled correctly throughout machine operation
Ensures machines run in a safe and efficient manner by adding attachments, aligning pieces, securing fixtures, or replacing broken or dull parts
Uses hoists, crane, or personal strength to lift work pieces to machines
Measures finished pieces with precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure they meet order specifications
Provide a quality product to our internal and external customers
Ensure conformity and quality of finished work
Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines, tooling and parts
Must work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries per our safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments
Basic math, fractions, and decimals
Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc.
Able to use a wide variety of hand tools.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Ability to change assignments frequently.
Can work well independently and with others.
Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly.
Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
Takes responsibility for own actions.
Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
Completes tasks on time.
Must supply own hand tools.
