Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and setup sheets. Strong understanding of machine offsets, tool presetting, and basic G/M code. Experience with multi-axis machining or live tooling. Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing At least 5 years of relevant experience in machining manufacturing. Essential Functions Cuts workpiece using CNC machine, powered saws, hand shears or chipping knife. Recognize, set-up and operate tools and equipment for tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or other welding equipment in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers and ruler. Work with precise limits and standards of accuracy. Experience interpreting and manually editing G-Code. Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit) preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Willingness to provide leadership and work in a team-oriented environment. Train operators and help troubleshoot. Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
