Job Description
Shift: M-F, 7am-3:30pm
PURPOSE:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to manufacture precision components. This position requires following process sheets and engineering drawings to ensure that parts meet required specifications, while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Machine Operation & Setup
* Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components according to blueprints and specifications.
* Verify machine parameters, run sample parts, and adjust equipment to maintain quality and productivity.
* Select, mount, and remove tooling and fixtures using appropriate hand tools; return cleaned tools to proper storage locations.
* Load raw material, align workpieces, and perform machining operations to required tolerances.
Inspection & Quality Control
* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.
* Verify parts meet specifications for dimensions, finish, and tolerances; identify and correct defects.
* Document inspection results, production information, and adjustments made during machining.
* Report issues with equipment, tooling, or materials to supervision for corrective action.
Safety & Equipment Care
* Follow all plant safety practices, PPE requirements, and safe lifting techniques.
* Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and in proper working condition.
* Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and tool changes.
* Safely operate lifting devices (hoists, cranes, or forklifts) to move materials and parts as required.
Team & Documentation
* Access and update production and quality systems to track work orders and part history.
* Interpret work instructions, process sheets, and quality control plans (QCPs).
* Train in standard operating procedures through verbal, written, and practical instruction.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and continuous improvement.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
* This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods during the shift.
* Capable of lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds independently and using lifting devices for heavier materials or tooling.
* Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise machining and inspection.
* Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work in various postures as needed to set up machines and inspect parts.
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to metal, lubricants, noise, and moving equipment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum 2 years of machining experience operating CNC lathes and mills in a production environment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and GD&T.
* Familiarity with CNC programming (Fanuc, Haas, or equivalent).
* Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
* Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

ENTEK is seeking applications for multiple CNC Machinist roles to join us on-site at our Henderson, Nevada, location (relocation within 40 miles of Henderson is required).
As a CNC Machinist at ENTEK, you will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
As an ENTEK CNC Machinist, you will be expected to verify settings by measuring positions, creating first-run parts, and sample workpieces during production machining. Working Environment
The hours for this role are 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., Wednesday-Saturday (Shift 4).
This role requires working 11.5-hour overnight shifts, spending the majority of the work shift on their feet.
This role is based in a machine shop environment, which may require the employee to work with or near equipment that uses water / high heat / mechanical means to create metal-based products. The incumbent will spend most of their 8-hour shifts on their feet. This role requires the incumbent to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Incumbents will complete tasks that require finger dexterity, reaching, handling of materials and tools/and equipment, talking, and hearing, as well as near and far sight, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The individual in this role may be required to kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and/or balance. The role may occasionally expose the employee to fumes and airborne particles, as well as temporarily high temperatures and temporarily bright light. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team based in Henderson WA. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products primarily by laser cladding and manual post cladding machine works.
The ideal candidate is someone with experience in laser cladding or metal spray technologies. This individual will need to be a self-motivated, adaptable as the job requires, be a team player but also be able to work independently!
Key responsibilities for the role:
* Plan and setup machines in the most efficient way to reduce set up times and achieve maximum productivity.
* Carry out machining of components as per drawings and client's requirements.
* Monitor / improve tooling parameters as well as cutting conditions on running jobs.
* Liaise with our CAM-Programmer regarding machining processes, machine setups, toolpaths, material properties, current and new tooling.
* Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements and complete reports accordingly.
* Liaise with the management regarding upcoming, ongoing & completed jobs and provide constructive feedback.
* Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
Skills and experience required:
* Experience with laser cladding or metal spray technologies and proficient with the use of manual lathe operation highly desirable.
* Be able to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
* Relevant trade qualification, preferably additional certificates in CNC-machining and engineering practices.
* Program, set up and run CNC Lathes, Milling and Routing machines.
* Must have programming experiencing using G codes.
* High level of accuracy and attention details.
* Willingness to participate within a high-performance customer-oriented team.
* Obey and respect company management and safety systems.
