**What You Will Do** Sigma-1, Fabrication Manufacturing Sciences, is looking for highly motivated machinists to work with existing staff to support R&D component manufacturing within the Machining and Inspection (M&I) Team. The M&I Team boasts a fully equipped machine shop, including multiple new machines and an inspection lab. Highlights of the machine shop capabilities include manual and CNC turning, manual and CNC milling, wire electrical discharge machining, and 3D printing. **What You Will Do** Prototype Fabrication (PF) Division is seeking qualified Mazak Integrex machinists to provide machining support for the machining of components vital to the Lab's mission. PF machinists manufacture parts and assemblies by programming, setting up, and operation of manual and CNC mills and lathes, and wire EDM machines. Machinists work from complex drawings, sketches, and CAD models. They will manufacture complex parts made from common and exotic materials with precise tolerances. The selected candidate will work in a team environment in both classified and unclassified work areas to provide fabrication services for a variety of customers both internal and external to Los Alamos National Laboratory.
