Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues related to tooling, speeds/feeds, and part quality. Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized. Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to improve processes and resolve issues. Maintain accurate documentation of setups, programs, and production runs. Follow safety protocols and shop procedures. EDUCATION AND TRAINING High School diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred). Must be able to independently program CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss-type machines Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidCAM for part modeling and CNC programming. Strong knowledge of CNC programming fundamentals, toolpath strategies, and machine controls (Haas preferred). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining symbols. This role requires hands-on experience with CNC machining, a deep understanding of G-code and CAM software, and a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges. You'll work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to push the limits of what's possible in precision manufacturing. Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers. Set up and operate CNC equipment to validate new programs and processes. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T specifications. Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to improve part manufacturability and reduce cycle times. Hands-on experience setting up and operating mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models. Proven ability to take a part from print to finished component. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.     Operation of automatic and/or manual wire bond equipment in a clean-room environment, to manufacture high-reliability microelectronic devices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes. * Set up and run automatic and manual wire bond equipment * Ability to handle computers in order to fine tune machine programs. * Written tests for ESD + wirebond and ribbon bond requirements. * Use tools such as fine tipped tweezers, x-acto knives, vacuum pencils, dental probes, calipers, scales. * Knowledge of periodic machines certification for bond strengths. * Inspect and know the difference between an acceptable epoxy placement, die attach assembly, sub attached assembly and wire bond and ribbon bonds on a microelectronic device, in conformance with work instructions, drawings and specifications. * Inspect - to the drawings/specs and procedures - the devices for defects before starting the assembly and after finishing his/her part of the assembly. * Adhere to all ESD and other handling requirements. * Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan. * Follow company 6S and continuous improvement (kaizen) objectives. * Perform all other duties, as assigned.

About this Role We are looking for a Senior 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join our Manufacturing Team. In this role, you will be machining complex, flight-critical components with extreme precision-contributing directly to spacecraft that will leave Earth and return with life-changing materials manufactured in microgravity. This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a non-production, prototype-driven environment where you will work with cutting-edge equipment, collaborate directly with engineers, and operate with full ownership of your machining processes. Flexible hours and generous benefits. Key Responsibilities (1) Precision Machining Machine complex aerospace components on 5-axis mills (Haas UMC1000 etc.) to tolerances of ±0.0005 in. Execute the full print-to-part workflow with full autonomy, including CAM programming, custom fixturing, setup, machine operation, and inspection. Machine exotic materials such as PEEK, Inconel, stainless steel, and carbon composite materials. Design and execute custom fixturing and work-holding solutions for prototype parts. (2) CAM Programming & Optimization Program CAM toolpaths using software such as Mastercam, HSMworks. Incorporate probing strategies and macros to reduce setup time and increase accuracy. Proficiency in Mastercam for 3+2 and full simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths, including simulation and verification. Deep understanding of G-code/M-code and advanced CNC program editing.
