    Computer numerical controller machinist job in Streator, IL

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must be able to operate CNC machining centers, such as mills and lathes * Make and revise CNC programs * Able to perform set-ups on all machines * Capable of learning processes such as drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning * Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc. * Responsible for maintaining equipment and basic troubleshooting * Run deburring equipment * Use fixtures to produce parts * Maintain a clean, safe workplace * Overtime commitment when needed EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * Must have minimum of 2 years CNC machine operation experience and knowledge * Able to operate conventional machines, such as, but not limited to: engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, and radial drill press * Able to learn CNC programming software * Must be able to read blueprints * Must be able to work with minimal supervision * Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.
