Job Description OMADA International-Sumner Division, a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Sumner, Washington is seeking a skilled, qualified, experienced CNC Machinist capable of loading, running, and measuring metal parts to enhance the productivity of our organization. The ideal candidate will have prior CNC operation and programming experience, a commitment to outstanding team effort, and a great attendance record. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Follow verbal machine operation instructions from department lead, assess drawings & manufacturing planning for machining requirements, carefully load parts into machines, operate machine's control panel, unload parts, deburr parts, and arrange parts in boxes or on pallets, sometimes running two machines at once. Monitor features & dimensions on each component run. Deburring of the finished parts. Responsible for supporting supervisors in the running of production parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, tool setups, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements and able to identify the likely results of your actions before taking them. Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining. Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to Lead. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly leaving your workstation better than you found it and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations. May perform other duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. US Citizen or Green card holder. Minimum of 4 years' experience as a vertical machine operator. Minimum of 2 years' experience of CNC programming via Mastercam. Experience with vertical & horizontal mills, 4th axis machining & positioners, & Fanuc & Okuma controllers. Experience with different types of equipment, inspection tooling, speeds/feeds, & tooling. Use of personal tools, including lockable toolbox, dead blow, allen wrenches, calipers, tape-measure, dial and/or travel indicator is a plus. What you'll do: This is a hands-on position primarily machining with some assembly duties. The position supports the Prototype Engineer for quick response on prototyping needs for customer projects. CNC and manual machining skills will be needed in this position. This is a fast-paced job with variety in projects.
