Key Responsibilities Perform manual machining at customer job sites across the U.S. Operate mills, lathes, line boring equipment, and specialty portable machines Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions Work safely in industrial, construction, and outdoor environments Communicate effectively with team members and customers Travel for extended periods-often 50%-75% of the time Work overtime, including 12+ hour shifts and 7-day work weeks when onsite Qualifications Required: Ability and willingness to travel frequently Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills Ability to work in physically demanding environments Reliable, team-oriented work ethic Valid driver's license Preferred: Machinist, millwright, mechanic, or field service experience Blueprint reading experience OSHA or safety training background Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, Monday-Friday when in the shop (8:00 AM-4:30 PM) Field work: extended hours and long-duration assignments Indoor and outdoor industrial sites Steel mills, shipyards, power plants, renewable energy sites, and more Compensation Pay based on experience 25% onsite pay premium Daily per diem Overtime pay available Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Life, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Coverage 401(k) with Profit Sharing Paid Vacation, PTO & Holidays Work Boot & Safety Glasses Reimbursement About Mactech, Inc.
