POSITION INFO:
This hands-on role supports the Engineering Test Lab by machining precision components using CNC and manual equipment. The primary responsibility is operating a CNC lathe to fabricate prototype and small batch production parts. Secondary duties include assisting with product testing, calibration of equipment, and maintaining lab standards. MAZAK CNC programming experience is a strong asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities - CNC & Machining
● Set up and operate CNC lathes and manual equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders) to produce high-precision components
● Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations
● Maintain tight tolerances on metal and plastic workpieces
● Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators
● Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed
● Collaborate with engineering teams during prototype and small-batch manufacturing
Secondary Responsibilities - Testing & Calibration
● Support engineering lab testing processes including setup and operation of test equipment
