The CNC Machine Estimating position will act as a point of contact between Grand Valley and our customers, providing superior service that meets or exceeds all internal and external customer needs. Accurately estimate the costs and time required to complete machining projects for clients. In this position it is helpful to have technical experience / strong background in: Set-up and operation of CNC Turning and Milling machines CNC Machine shop operations and materials Role and Responsibilities: Serve as the Grand Valley Manufacturing Co. representative for new and existing customers, acting as a conduit for all required information to expedite orders. Understand manufacturing equipment capabilities and limitations to determine pertinent information required to evaluate customer enquiries for manufacturing fit, profitability of order, and volume potential for Grand Valley. Collaborate with customers to collect blueprints, specifications, and related documents needed to prepare estimates. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to understand the scope and requirements of the project; including, but not limited to, identifying materials, dimensions, tolerances, and finishing requirements.
