JOB PURPOSE The System Operator supports e2Companies' GROVE (Grid Response Optimization of Virtual Energy) operations as the first line of technical support for distributed energy systems. This role monitors real-time system performance, identifies abnormal conditions, and executes defined troubleshooting procedures to assess issues and determine appropriate next steps. The System Operator contributes to system reliability by analyzing operational data, following established diagnostic workflows, and escalating issues in accordance with defined procedures. This position is intended for candidates with a technical foundation who can interpret system behavior, assess alarms, and support continuous operations within a 24/7 control room environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor distributed generation and energy storage assets in real time using internal monitoring platforms and dashboards Identify abnormal system behavior, alarms, or performance deviations and initiate first-level troubleshooting procedures Follow established troubleshooting workflows and diagnostic decision trees to assess system issues Analyze system data, trends, and numerical thresholds to support troubleshooting and operational decisions Log system events, troubleshooting actions, and outcomes accurately in operational records Execute dispatch instructions and system control actions in accordance with defined procedures Coordinate with engineering, field operations, and internal stakeholders when escalation is required Support internal teams by providing clear, timely technical information during system events Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and shift handoff notes Collaborate effectively with other operators to ensure consistent operational coverage across shifts BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Required): Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, IT Systems, Industrial Technology, or a closely related technical field In lieu of a degree, completion of a formal technical or trade program with relevant electrical, electronics, or systems coursework may be considered Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, or technical control systems Ability to follow structured troubleshooting procedures and assess system issues using predefined workflows Experience working with technical systems, monitoring platforms, dashboards, or operational software Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret real-time data, thresholds, and performance trends Advanced computer proficiency, including strong Microsoft Excel skills for data tracking and analysis Ability to document technical findings, actions taken, and outcomes with accuracy and clarity Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently within defined procedures while collaborating with a shift team Willingness to work one of three shifts (7 AM-3 PM, 3 PM-11 PM, or 11 PM-7 AM) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice To Have): Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems, industrial equipment, or technical control systems Exposure to power generation, battery energy storage systems, distributed energy resources, or energy monitoring platforms Experience with alarm management, fault isolation, or first-line technical support in an operational environment Ability to interpret technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, equipment manuals, or system schematics Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline HERE'S WHAT YOU GET: Competitive Pay Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401K benefits 5 PTO (increased with tenure) / 5 sick days Time off equivalent to 8 federal holidays, scheduled in accordance with operational needs Childcare assistance (Up to $300 per month) Eligibility for our Employee Incentive Program based on tenure and performance “Work Hard, Play Hard” culture with team events and e2 for Good initiatives *Relocation Assistance is NOT provided for this role.* Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours) Reports To: GROVE Manager Commute | Relocate: Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: Bonita Springs, FL 34135 Come join our innovative team and contribute to the future of green energy!
