Structural Repair/Mod Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structural Repair and Modification Technician for an opportunity in San Antonio, TX
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Able to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas.

Ability and understanding of locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure.

Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.

Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.

Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.

Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.

A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.

The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.

Operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignment.

Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.

The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.

Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Qualifications and requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and minimum 4 or more years of experience A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted prior to a start date. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Job Title: Computer Specialist / Repair Technician

Pay Rate: $13/hr for On-Site Training 1 month; $15-17/hr depending performance

Job Purpose: Serves customers by providing the best solution and experience for their technology repair needs.

Minimum requirements:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Role and Responsibilities:

* Reviews customers complaint to determine details of equipment problems
* Disassembles machines to examine parts, for wear or defects, using hand or power tools and measuring devices
* Conducts diagnosis of problems according to customer complaint
* Advises customer call center concerning equipment operation, maintenance, or requests approval for advanced repair
* May communicate with or conducts rework to ensure successful and efficient repair of units
* Repairs laptop or desktop units according to requirements, using hand or power tools and measuring devices
* Reassembles machines after making repairs or replacing parts
* Analyzes equipment performance assess equipment functioning
* Cleans, or adjusts mechanical parts to maintain machines' operating efficiency and to prevent breakdowns or repeat return for repair
* Inspects units for cosmetic defects and reports findings in traveler
* Completes repair ticket (traveler)
* Installs and configures new equipment, including operating software or peripheral equipment as required
* Reads and researches specifications, such as blueprints, charts, or schematics, to determine machine settings or adjustments
* Maintains repair parts inventories and places order for any additional parts needed for repairs
* Reinstalls software programs or adjust settings on existing software to fix machine malfunctions
* Compares findings with the customers reported problem and advises customer call center of failures found
* Runs basic tests (mri and e-test)
* Learns and uses new processes and procedures for the WUR repair line
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager

Education, Training and Skills:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* 1 year of experience assembling /disassembling, testing, trouble shooting and repairing computers
* Experience using hand power tools required
* Must be able to speak, read and write English
* Advanced knowledge of computer hardware
* Work with close supervision

This role operates in a warehouse environment. Computer Repair Technicians are required to: Frequently stand, walk, sit and twist. Occasionally stoop, crouch or crawl in a safe and efficient manner. Push and pull up to 10lbs. Frequently lift or carry up to 20lbs. Use of small hand tools.
