Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and ETL pipelines.
Analyze and troubleshoot existing RDBMS code (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
Implement integrations between applications via APIs and web technologies.
Build ETL pipelines in Python following OOP principles; create efficient, reusable code.
Perform data modeling, including schema design and entity relationships.
Work with data warehouses (BigQuery, Databricks Delta Lakehouse) for ingestion, cleansing, governance, and reporting.
Develop and manage Airflow workflows (DAGs).
Collaborate effectively as an individual contributor, quickly understanding existing systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong programming skills and deep understanding of RDBMS concepts.
Expertise in SQL across multiple dialects and Python-based ETL development.
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehouses, Spark, and workflow orchestration tools.
Ability to work independently, learn new technologies, and adapt quickly.
Preferably local to NYC tri-state area, capable of reliable commuting.
Experience:
Proven experience developing database solutions, integrations, and ETL pipelines.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, DB2, Oracle; BigQuery and Databricks preferred.
Familiarity with IBM Apptio a plus or willingness to ramp up quickly.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
