Summary of Responsibilities:

Ability to remote into systems to assist in call resolution.
Monitors state network and state applications for completion and errors. Reports errors according to SOP's.
Acts as an extension to the Service Desk taking after hour's calls to assist with troubles.
Enters all calls into an internet-based tracking system, Assyst.
Discriminates between critical and non-critical jobs and contacts programmers as necessary.
Browse pending, ongoing, and completed RFC's, to keep a general knowledge of changes occurring, or that have been completed.
Reports hardware problems on the IBM system. Usually I/O errors on tape drives, which must be documented into an internet-based tracking system and paper logbook. Document any other hardware problems in a similar manner.
Mounts input tapes on the IBM system. Also, removes used output tapes from the loaders and file in the racks.
Checks condition codes on certain IBM jobs to be sure they have run correctly. Reports failures to IBM System Analyst.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing technical support to include triage, ticket assignment, tier I issue resolution, account management, and systems monitoring; includes providing accurate and efficient tier I support for workstations and peripherals issues, recommending hardware, scheduling, receiving, storing & distributing software, hardware & equipment according to company policy & procedures and asset tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide outstanding customer service and a positive support experience by interfacing directly with Spectrum employees on issues, communicating in a clear, concise manner
2. Coordinate and closely work with team members, end-users, and technical staff on problem resolution, tracking, monitoring, and reporting
3. Accurately and efficiently answer help desk calls
4. Collect appropriate information needed to triage, assign and solve tier I tickets regarding software, hardware, and operational problems and appropriately know when to escalate to tier II support
5. Provide remote software installation and configuration support
6. Accurately perform account creation, management, and deletion per documented processes and procedures
7. Accurately and timely perform remote connection administration per documented processes and procedures
8. Manage print queues and drivers using documented issue resolution and troubleshooting procedures per documented processes and procedures
9. Workstation management and adherence to all security requirements
10. Follow basic troubleshooting procedures to accurately troubleshoot basic network administration and connectivity issues and appropriately know when to escalate to level II support
11. Liaison with departments to coordinate technology needs
12. Write and update “how-to”, knowledgebase, and procedure documentation
13. Follow established processes and standards, identify and propose improvements as necessary
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and identify possible root cause issues and errors; determine prioritization and escalation paths; strong ownership and reliable follow through

QUALIFICATIONS
High school degree or equivalent

Thorough understanding of current Windows operating systems and current Microsoft Office products including Microsoft 365

POSITION SUMMARY:

Job DescriptionAs a Solar Field Technician at QE Solar, you are responsible for providing ongoing field services support to multiple solar, battery storage (BESS) or other renewable energy systems on a continual/on-demand basis in order to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot/resolve equipment issues, support emergency repairs and other provide ongoing O&M compliance support. Operations Leads, Solar Engineers and other management will provide regular coaching and training and will qualify technicians for field operations.
Essential Duties:
Diagnose and repair systems failures as existing solar sites, identify and correct potential issues that may impact site performance in the future. Assist and support field teams with real-time solutions to site operations issues and execute the same. Diagnose/troubleshoot equipment failures and perform regular preventative maintenance on a variety of solar, BESS and other project equipment. Support field teams and clients via oversight/support of warranty matters regarding equipment and systems for use or replacement. Installs, removes, troubleshoots and the maintenance of solar, BESS and other related electrical equipment.
Ensure a safe, event-free work environment through strict adherence to company and client protocols, safety procedures and regulations. Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and safe best practices (e.g. lock-out/tag-out compliance, JHA completion, LDL testing, and compliance with all company safety policies or procedures and work practices).

Required Qualifications:

Responds to after-hour calls (24/7/365) regarding downed lines, broken poles, outages etc.
Operates a Bucket Truck for aerial operations, removing trees from lines and equipment.
Works with Contractors during major outages.
Testing & troubleshooting copper cables with a Dynatel 965AMS, HST, Fluke, Meggar and Sidekick.
Testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables with an OTDR and light meters
Installation and testing of ADSL and SADSL.
