About the role: The individual assigned to this position is responsible for managing and supporting capital/expense projects, and maintenance/operational issues as required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong mechanical inclination and verifiable experience performing in the electrical trade, electrical or multicraft maintenance, or solar operations and maintenance. Experience performing maintenance tasks on DC, AC, and MV systems, communications equipment, and mechanical systems will translate well to this position. No direct solar PV experience is required. Main Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems. TOMRA, an international recycling company is looking to fill the role of Maintenance Mechanic at our Farmington NY facility. $25.00-$32.00/Hr Based on experience 2nd Shift position. 2pm to 10:30pm Job Description Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and buildings to include, but not limited to: Conveyors (All types) Power transmission systems (direct, belt, and chain driven) Hydraulic balers Granulators Air compressors and associated systems Docks, doors, and dock levelers Must be able to repair and/or replace motors, speed reduction/gear boxes, chain drives, rollers, belt lacing and belts utilizing industry standard methods for installation (e.g. alignment and tensioning). Make repairs or replacements to air handling systems utilizing blowers of various types. Must be able to fabricate, repair, and install all types of guarding on material handling equipment at the plant. Must be able to repair building plumbing systems and their components. Must be able to fit, install and repair all type of piping and tubing systems, to include black iron, plastic, brass, copper and rubber piping and tubing systems. Must be able to troubleshoot and replace electric circuits and systems to include but not limited to motors, fuses, circuit breakers, contactors, sensing switches and devices, control wiring, and transformers. Proficient in reading schematics and drawings. Must be able to repair and replace failed lighting circuits and components. Must be able to use chain falls, hoists, forklifts, and tele-handlers to safely rig and move equipment and parts or components for installation or replacement. Must know how to safely strap and use chains to secure equipment or material for lifting. Proficient in the safe and appropriate use of electrical test devices. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field of industrial maintenance is required. Preferred Qualifications A.S. Engineering Technology or equivalent or Vocational School training in a related field Welding certification Prior certifications as an operator of material handling equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, etc.) Experience rigging and moving equipment. Respond to issues at the store which affect overall operation of equipment or the facility Work individually as well as in a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment at store locations Work as a team to assist with special projects such as remodels, new store openings or acquisitions Occasionally troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R and all food/beverage equipment at all Mirabito Store locations. Operate of a company assigned vehicle in safe and responsible manner Communicate issues and provide feedback to the Facility Support Manager regarding maintenance issues, facility/equipment opportunities and outside service vendor performance. Utilize maintenance work order system to complete repair calls, close completed calls, enter resolutions for calls and update calls according to company policies and procedures. Complete assigned work by required deadline. Respond to high priority calls according to company guidelines. Performs other related duties as requested for store openings or special events. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS include and are not limited to: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Valid Driver's license. Pump tank experience a plus or willing to be trained.
