    Con Edison's Information Technology organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Systems Analyst QE Technology Manager to Lead the testing efforts of OMS (Outage Management Systems). An Outage Management System (OMS) is a specialized software platform used by electric utilities to detect, manage, and restore service interruptions efficiently. It plays a critical role in maintaining reliability and customer satisfaction while supporting operational decision-making during both routine outages and large-scale events. The Sr Systems Analyst QE Technology Manager for the Outage Management System (OMS) is responsible for establishing and leading the quality engineering strategy, processes, and practices that ensure OMS solutions meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements. This role ensures that all OMS-related software, integrations, and configurations operate correctly and efficiently to support outage detection, restoration, and reporting across the utility network.The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams including project managers, testers, developers, vendors and business analysts to ensure successful delivery of software under test. The candidate will lead testing efforts for OMS applications, including Manual, Performance, and Automation testing, ensuring quality and accuracy. Responsibilities include managing a team of testers/ contractors, tracking project metrics, reducing defects, and fostering collaboration between OMS support teams and business units. The role requires close partnership with the TCoE to align quality practices and drive innovation, as well as designing training strategies to enhance technical and business skills. The candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm for leveraging AI and automation, possess hands-on OMS experience preferably with OUA (Oracle Utility Analytics), and have a deep understanding of operational workflows. Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of Working experience in supporting IT application infrastructure of a large user base, focused on Software /Quality engineering or Associate's Degree and 5+ years of Working experience in supporting IT application infrastructure of a large user base, focused on Software /Quality engineering. Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or business-related discipline and 8+ years of Working experience in supporting IT application infrastructure of a large user base, focused on Software /Quality engineering. Relevant Work Experience Motivated to learn and contribute to initiatives that integrate automation AI capabilities, required. Ability to learn new technology as required for the job using documentation and other available resources, required. Experience leading Projects and teams, required. Familiarity of the various development technologies such as web applications, mobile technologies, thick clients etc. required. Familiarity with N tier architecture and emerging technologies and practices, e.g. Big Data/Analytics, Cloud (SaaS, PaaS), mobile, sensors (Internet of Things), required. Familiarity with Outage Management Solutions Systems (OMS) or Electric utility domain knowledge, required. Working exposure with tools or frameworks that enable AI-assisted testing (for example, AI-based test case generation, defect prediction, or self -healing tests), required. Must be comfortable and skilled at selling new processes and techniques. Must be able to communicate designs and give persuasive presentations, required. Ability to establish medium and long-term plans and priorities and estimate investment requirements, required. Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems, or respond to corporate emergencies, required. Anticipate, identify and manage resolutions of critical obstacles, required. Able to act as a coach and mentor for assigned team members with the ability to transfer knowledge to various audiences, required. Experience with Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Increment Planning, and Retrospectives, required. Ability to write and Optimize database queries to extract and manipulate data efficiently, preferred. Experience designing, developing, implementing technologies in one or more domains, e.g. applications or data, preferred. Someone with Scrum Certification and Scrum project management, preferred. Core Responsibilities Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of the Outage Management Systems (OMS) with a specific focus on a OUA (Oracle Utility Analytics) product area. Ensure OMS projects adhere to TCoE established standards and best practices. Coordinate with vendors, developers, business stakeholders to define test requirements and acceptance criteria. Provide leadership in adopting TCoE defined standardizations, best practices, tools, templates, Gen AI solutions. Manage a team of contractors to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and scripts (both manual and automated) for the OMS programs. Lead Testing activities for OMS applications, including functional, regression, integration, performance and User acceptance testing. Collaborate closely with vendors, developers, business analysts and support teams to reproduce and resolve issues. Oversee testing of integrations with GIS, SCADA, AMI, CC&B and Work Management Systems. See through the successful QE process standardization, tools standardization, resource standardization and testing service protocol development and execution of selected projects under the TCOE umbrella. Define and track TCoE testing KPIs, milestones and metrics in close partnership with the team. Focus on reducing defects across the selected OMS projects, emphasizing testers' understanding of business operations. Serve as a primary TCoE Application / functional lead enhancing testers' business understanding through collaboration with SMEs and business units. Collaborate with operations and IT teams to validate system performance during planned outages. Upgrades, emergency simulations. Maintain documentation of test plans, cases, scripts and results for audit and compliance purposes. Support disaster recovery and failover testing to ensure system resilience. Foster staff development, recommend technical training, and provide skill-building feedback for junior team members. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
