Demonstrate safety behaviors with focus on zero injuries and OSHA compliance.
Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Working with and participation in implementing PSM including HazWhoper response team.
Sustain training for HazWhoper response.
Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, & repair of plant systems:
Monitor and document a variety of systems including wastewater, boilers, condensers.
Troubleshoot to identify defects, create a plan to eliminate identified defects.
Actively support the Conagra Performance System (CPS) process: 5S, CIL, Centerline, BDA, Safety, QA, etc.
Adjust manual controls or override automatic controls to bring equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shutdown equipment.
Inspect equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
Maintain equipment via adjustments, lubrication, repairs, managing controls, etc.
Safety checks of the grounds and facility
Requisition spare parts, materials, and supplies as required.
Record maintenance and operations activities.
Working knowledge of HVAC, air intakes, exhaust fans is a plus.
Support 5S in the Maintenance Department, create and Execute a Personal Action Plan
Support Break Down Elimination DMS
Other duties as assigned.
Work overtime as required to achieve production, sanitation, and maintenance schedules.
Provide support for the PM Pillar and Autonomous maintenance functions of CPS and other duties as directed by the MaintenanceManager(s).

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Pellet MaintenanceManager to lead maintenance operations in our pellet production facilities. This role oversees both unionized and non-unionized teams, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 19 maintenance technicians
Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and foster positive labor relations
Conduct performance evaluations and support career development
Collaborate with HR and union representatives on staffing and grievance processes
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs using CMMS (e.g., EPAC)
Managemaintenance of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems
Monitor and improve metrics: equipment uptime, PM compliance, maintenance costs, safety incidents
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies
Maintain documentation for water treatment, wastewater, and environmental permits
Lead safety audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
Ensure technician training in LOTO, PPE, chemical safety, and SDS protocols
Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering to meet operational goals
Participate in plant leadership and strategic planning meetings
Lead projects to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs
Implement lean maintenance practices and support capital improvements
Maintain and update SOPs and training materials
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (required); Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
Experience managing in a unionized setting (preferred)
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems
Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Manager of Equipment Maintenance works primarily indoors from Monday thru Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands and walks, bends, twists, and crawls; May occasionally be required to work in crawl spaces, shafts, or other areas that could cause claustrophobia; wears a respirator in order to adhere to safety requirements. Scope:
Maintenancemanager for liquid division will be leading all maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of packaging, blending and CIP systems. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide training, coaching, and guidance to functional hourly associates, ensure the proper execution of daily work activities that drive quality, efficiency, safety, service, and cost performance in a manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
Effectively communicate all maintenance issues to all the team members.
Assists with the orientation and training of new employees.
Managemaintenance activities that occur and report problems with recommendations to the Production and Maintenance teams promptly.
Maintain organization with parts and supplies.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure that all machinery is working at top performance.
Ensure all safety procedures are being followed (lockout tag-out, Haz-mat, confined space).
Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Regularly inspect equipment and facility and issue work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement as necessary.
Direct, coach, train, and develop front-line employees
Assist with hands on repairs and maintenance of blending, filling and packaging equipment, as required.
Coordinate the installation and testing of new production related equipment.
Assist with facility maintenance and facility contractors as necessary.
Understand the facility's Pre-requisite and Food Safety Programs, including but not limited to Food Defense, BBP, Glass, and Brittle Plastic, Chemical Control, GMP, Allergen, Shipping, and Receiving, etc.
Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
Complete assigned Heath & Safety trainings.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Associate's degree {A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or University/Technical School or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience in a food and beverage production environment is strongly preferred.
