This person coordinates and expands the center’s capability to provide un-insured patients with information pertaining to the medicine assistance program. The receptionist is a member of the Front Office Team and will rotate through evening and other clinics on a regular basis. As a member of the Front Office Team, this person will cross train in the other Front Office positions and achieve full competency in all positions. The receptionist will perform these duties on a rotation basis as well as fill in when absences occur. This position may have remote work requirements. This position is subject to all current CMS vaccine mandates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Presents a warm, friendly, efficient, client-centered attitude to all patients and visitors at Primary Health Care Centers- Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive first impression of Primary Health Care Centers, its services, staff and facilities.- Maintains a neat, orderly, and clean front office, waiting room, and reception area.- Promptly greets and acknowledges visitors, patients and telephone callers.- Routes calls to appropriate person or department.- Obtains necessary information, e.g., registration, history, surveys, etc.- Collects payment from patient at time of service and/or prior balance - Conducts interviews with prospective sliding scale patients. After all medication(s) entered into the system, create an encounter and call patient for pick up. Store medication in secure place until patient picks up. - Gather medication for patient at time of pick up and ask patient to sign for each medication. Scan pick up medication sheet into patient file, document and close encounter of patient picking up medication(s) - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
