SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Managing Director and will provide administrative support by performing clerical functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Answer phone calls and greet visitors - direct to appropriate parties or take messages.
* Maintain the Admissions Control log, distribute admissions leads properly, verify online lead data, and enter prospect information into CampusVue.
* Prepare all mail acceptance letters following weekly Admissions Committee Meetings.
* Ensure all information is ready for New Student Orientation, including mailing orientation letters, orientation packets, sign in sheets, and name tags.
* Enter new enrollments into CampusVue and create files for new students; maintain all academic files.
* Monitor and enter student attendance in CampusVue and communicate with the Managing Director and/or Lead Instructor about any attendance issues or problems.
* Receive all payments, application fees, and financial aid checks, and provide receipts.
* Enter grades and gather necessary modular documentation.
* Post graduates in CampusVue and close student files upon graduation, course completion, and/or termination.
* Document all student status changes including leaves of absence and exits.
* Enter, prepare, and print schedules for new modules. Distribute report cards and schedules.
* Place orders for stationary, envelopes, business cards, and other supplies.
* Other administrative tasks as deemed necessary.

Manage campus operations
Provide support to Dean of Nursing and Dean of General Education, optimize academic support resources, and oversee the campus student success.

SUMMARY:
The Certified Nurse Aid Instructor provides instruction in the Nurse Aide Training Program to ensure that all students achieve competency in the program objectives. The Instructor will teach all of the lecture, laboratory practice training, and supervise all clinical work experience located in the long term care setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviewing lesson plans at least a week ahead of time to the Executive Director.
Instructing classes using teaching techniques appropriate to adult learners.
Testing students regularly, returning graded student tests within 2-3 class sessions. Final grades and grade sheets must be turned into the office manager daily.
Checking student attendance and reporting any absences of more than one (1) class sessions to the Office Manager/
Registrar immediately. Attendance sheets must be turned into the Office Manager/Registrar at the end of each day.
Utilizing recognized classroom management techniques and, when necessary, reporting any inappropriate behavior or attitude problems to the Executive Director.
Beginning and ending each class period on time.
Restricting food and drink consumption to break areas in the school.
Distributing course syllabi and textbooks on the first day of class.
Attending all regularly scheduled monthly, quarterly and in-service meetings.
Demonstrating professional growth by membership in a professional organization, attendance at seminars, workshops or meetings, continuing education, or outside work in the field of my expertise.
Working with the Executive Director on a plan of action when the instructor's evaluations fall below 85% and/or for any class in which competency test pass rates fall below 80%.
Giving the Executive Director adequate notice when classroom supplies are needed. Communicating the need for equipment repair/maintenance in a timely manner.
Instructor will obtain certification as a CPR/BLS Instructor from Dorsey Schools (AHA) within 60 days.
KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES:
Excellent communication (written and oral) and analytical skills as well as the ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years of nursing experience with at least one year in Long-term care performing clinical skills with patient care needs.
Instructors must have documentation of current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
WORKING / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Limited travel may be required (0-50%).
May be required to work late and occasional weekends to support business needs.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment.

Prepare all mail acceptance letters following weekly Admissions Committee Meetings.
Ensure all information is ready for New Student Orientation, including mailing orientation letters, orientation packets, sign in sheets, and name tags.
Enter new enrollments into CampusVue and create files for new students; maintain all academic files.
Monitor and enter student attendance in CampusVue and communicate with the Managing Director and/or Lead Instructor about any attendance issues or problems.
Receive all payments, application fees, and financial aid checks, and provide receipts.
Enter grades and gather necessary modular documentation.
Post graduates in CampusVue and close student files upon graduation, course completion, and/or termination.
Document all student status changes including leaves of absence and exits.
Enter, prepare, and print schedules for new modules. Distribute report cards and schedules.
Place orders for stationary, envelopes, business cards, and other supplies.
Other administrative tasks as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities for a Nursing Instructor
Facilitate and effectively deliver nursing curriculum in the classroom
Supervise and mentor nursing students during clinical rotations
Evaluate learning outcomes of students and maintain accurate student records
Prepare students for an exciting career in nursing!
Requirements for a Clinical Nursing Instructor
BSN or MSN
Active RN license in CT
3+ years of recent clinical experience in the Mental Health environment
A passion for teaching
Teaching experience-a plus!
