Key Responsibilities Develop and apply state estimation algorithms and sensor fusion models to process multi-modal data streams from remote sensing platforms. Analyze and interpret complex sensor data feeds (e.g., radar, EO/IR, RF) and real-time messaging services to enable situational awareness. Model system behavior under dynamic conditions using tools such as Kalman filters, particle filters, and Bayesian inference techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, analytics, and mission teams to support rapid prototyping and operational systems development. Support identification and characterization of advanced threats and adversarial tactics through data analysis and pattern recognition. Translate technical findings into actionable insights and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay current with advancements in applied data science, AI/ML, and sensor processing technologies. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related quantitative field. With 6-8 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree with 4-6 years of experience, or a PhD with 2-4 years of experience Hands-on experience with sensor fusion techniques and state estimation algorithms (e.g., Kalman filters, SLAM, tracking filters). Strong understanding of remote sensing phenomenology, including knowledge of radar, lidar, or electro-optical systems. Experience with real-time messaging architectures (e.g., ZeroMQ, DDS, Kafka). Familiarity with advanced threat modeling and detection strategies in the context of national defense or intelligence. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++, with experience in scientific computing or simulation environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on DoD or government-sponsored R&D projects. Prior exposure to operational military systems, UAS, or ISR platforms. Knowledge of AI/ML tools for signal and sensor data exploitation. Experience with time-series databases and geospatial data processing.
