at Planned Companies Planned Companies -Package Handler - Job Description Schedule: Part Time: Friday & Saturday 10AM-6PM (16HPW) Pay Rate: $19.00 The Package Handler will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and delivery of packages and mail for a high-end residential condominium community. This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations and delivering excellent customer service to full-time residents. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude to maintain the quality and integrity of package management services. Primary Job Responsibilities: Receive and log deliveries of packages, mail, and other deliveries for residents into the property management system. Notify residents of incoming packages and facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of items. Store packages securely in designated areas, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible for retrieval. Deliver packages to residents' units or assist them in picking up items from the storage area. Maintain the package room or storage area in a neat, organized, and secure manner. Handle special requests from residents, such as scheduling deliveries, sending out packages, or coordinating with delivery services. Assist with concierge duties as needed, including answering questions and providing information to residents. Maintain records and logs of all transactions related to deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues to the management team. Coordinate with building staff and external delivery services to manage bulk deliveries or large items. Follow security procedures to ensure that all packages are handled and delivered safely. Support the concierge team in creating a welcoming and service-focused environment for residents. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a package handling, concierge, or customer service role is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with package tracking systems and basic computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The Specimen Sorter t is responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt, labeling, and initial handling of biological specimens that arrive at the laboratory. This includes scanning and logging all incoming deliveries, performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry. Responsibilities: Receive, log, and verify specimens, ensuring proper labeling, quantity, condition, and integrity. Sort and organize incoming specimens by type, priority, and destination for processing. Maintain accurate specimen tracking, labeling, and categorization to ensure an organized storage area. Conduct initial quality assessments and ensure specimens are suitable for testing. Report any issues with specimens (e.g., damage, improper labeling) to relevant personnel. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards for specimen handling, storage, and disposal. Enter specimen data accurately into laboratory management systems, ensuring consistency with physical samples. Update records and monitor sample status throughout the processing workflow. Log deliveries into the national system using scanning technology and update records accordingly. Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure correct identification and labeling. Communicate updates and resolve specimen-related inquiries with internal teams and clients. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet department goals and deadlines. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and remain seated for extended periods as needed. Adapt to changing priorities and workload volumes to maintain operational efficiency. Exceptional attention to detail for accurate specimen documentation and handling. Skilled in organizing and managing multiple specimens and related documentation efficiently. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of biological materials. What You'll Do * Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations * Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines * Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture * Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor What You'll Need * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Ability to work in all weather conditions * Experience with metal sorting a plus but not required; to include the ability to distinguish between different metals and/or other materials for grading purposes and recognizing safety hazards * Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more to include carrying or pushing objects up to 100ft * Must be able to perform the physical task of the job assigned; to include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching * Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather Your Education * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
