The Medication History Technician is responsible for interviewing patients to obtain a medication history of patients admitted to Pardee Hospital. The technician will also be responsible to make use of available resources to verify the accuracy of a medication list. Responsibilities: - Conducts an appropriate and respectful interview of the patient (or family member if necessary), contacting outside healthcare providers and pharmacies when necessary to clarify/verify patient reported lists, and documents communications in the EMR. - Accurately records current medications (prescription and OTC), supplements, vitamins, vaccines, and herbal remedies in the EMR. Communicates to the providers or Pharmacists any missing information or details that may be of importance.
