This role offers the chance to work in both acute care and across three adult outpatient clinics in Burlington and Mebane, with a $2.00/hour premium pay included. In the acute setting, you'll work across 8 medical units, working closely with the interdisciplinary care team to facilitate optimal patient care and post-acute outcomes. In the outpatient setting, you'll enjoy true one-on-one care, with 45-minute sessions and no techs or assistants, allowing you to focus fully on your patients. Across all settings, you'll be part of a highly engaged team with excellent employee satisfaction and consistently strong patient outcomes. Scheduling is variable and does include a weekend rotation in the acute setting, only one weekend day required every six weeks-with the option of a flex day off or extra pay. The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients? conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This position initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require occasional guidance needed when covering in complex or cross-coverage situations.
Responsibilities
Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients.
Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.

that is integrated and compatible with the patient-focused medical goals. Primary responsibilities include development and implementation of the exercise prescription through initial patient assessment, exercise testing, monitoring, and evaluation of the patient's progress. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist uses evidence-based practice, protocols, and guidelines to determine exercise intervention. Summary:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist works closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate evidence- based exercise therapy that is integrated and compatible with the patient-focused medical goals. Primary responsibilities include patient assessment and monitoring and implementation of exercise prescriptions. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist uses evidence-based practice, protocols, and guidelines to help determine exercise intervention. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Exercise Physiologist is involved in patient care, patient education, program development, and quality performance improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Assesses exercise therapy needs using standardized practice and critical thinking. Recognizes potential medical problems in all clinical situations and reports these to MD or RN; Recognizes unsafe exercise situations and intervenes to ensure patient safety; Monitors response to exercise such as heart rate and rhythm, blood pressures, blood glucoses, and O2 Sats. We treat patients one-on-one for 45-minute sessions.
