AT&T has an opening for a Network Configuration Management Specialist to be responsible for the execution of the CM process, which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits and managing the process improvement cycle.
The job duties of the Network Configuration Management Specialist are as follows:

+ Ensuring that the Configuration Management (CM) environment facilitates product review, and change and defect tracking activities, and preferably has experience or training in the use of CM tools.

+ Developing the CM plan.

+ Reporting progress based on change requests.

+ Understanding configuration management principles.

+ Auditing configuration management activities by validating results against the baseline. Reports findings to change manager for final review and recommendation of revisions as appropriate.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience with technical drawings and AutoCAD or similar software. Have a thorough working knowledge of reading RFP's, blueprints, specifications, and system documentation. Working knowledge of drafting methods and basic understanding of engineering drawings and principles. Appreciation of construction methods and schedules.

Desired Qualifications: Experience with installation and configuration of any levels of network devices, such as firewalls, switches, routers, cabling, Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper devices is a plus.

About the Mission You Will Join:


The Department of State has entrusted VMD to perform internal and external-facing informational websites and web applications activities specifically for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. VMD's mission is to perform migration/decommissioning activities over legacy websites to support the modernization of its website governance, architecture, and design.


Your Impact to the Mission:

Responsibilities

This opening is for a recently awarded 5 year program that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms.

Provide Configuration Management (CM) support at the program, project, system of systems, system, and subsystem levels. Generate and maintain formal CM Plans and related documentation. Establish and maintain program and project-level configuration management technical data repositories tracking engineering change proposals (ECPs), Problem Reports (PR), Request for Waivers (RFW), Requests for Deviations/Waivers (RFD, RFW), Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Notice of Revisions (NORs) and other configuration item data and requests. Maintain and operate web-based CM server repositories. Generate and review configuration item change documentation including Class I and Class II ECPs, RFDs, RFWs, SCNs, and NORs. Organize program, project, and IPT level documentation into repositories, including web-based repositories, and maintain the repository to facilitate documentation storage and retrieval. The Contractor shall convert program documents, weapons data and records to include video and microfiche into digital format for digital access, distribution, and archiving using electronic means including CDs and DVDs. Participate in the CM process by maintaining controlled and versioned documentation in accordance with the program or project CM plan. Provide process improvement suggestions towards the program or project CM plan. Provide CM support by delivering all Government approved test artifacts (plans, procedures, reports) to the designated CM authority. Provide CM services for A&A documentation and processes to include development of technical network architecture drawings, Hardware and Software documentation, and documenting network change information. The Contractor shall maintain and update the Internet Protocol Administration (IPA) database with the documented updates and changes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
  • Three (3) years of experience serving as a logistics planner, configuration manager, or process improvement manager
  • Experience performing configuration item identification, baseline definition, source code control, action items and CM library use, and change request management
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of Department of Defense manuals and specification
  • Experience with writing technical reports
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required
