The Work As the Configuration Management (CM) Manager, you will lead the end to end CM function for all Undersea Mission Systems programs at the Manassas site, ensuring configuration integrity across hardware, software, and digital data threads. Your key responsibilities include: * Strategic CM Leadership - Define the vision and roadmap for configuration and data management processes, aligning them with enterprise digital thread initiatives and automation strategies. * Change Control Oversight - Direct the analysis, authorization, and documentation of engineering change proposals; ensure modification records are coordinated for management control and that all change orders meet contractual and regulatory requirements. * Cross Functional Coordination - Partner with engineering, quality, manufacturing, software development, and data control teams to review released engineering change data, assess impact on the overall product, and integrate required updates. * Software Configuration Control - Govern baseline management, version control, and release processes for all software artifacts, incorporating best in class tools and automated pipelines. * Automation & Digital Thread Integration - Drive business transformation by embedding CM activities within model based systems engineering (MBSE) environments, leveraging PLM/ALM platforms and emerging AI/ML solutions to reduce manual effort and improve traceability. * Team Management & Development - Recruit, train, and mentor a high performing CM team (associate managers, supervisors, and exempt professionals). Manage performance assessments, work assignments, salary recommendations, and recognition/disciplinary actions. * Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Ensure customer requirements are accurately reflected in configuration baselines; communicate change impact analyses to U.S. Government customers, prime contractors, and internal senior leaders. * Compliance & Reporting - Maintain adherence to Lockheed Martin CM policies, DoD regulations, and contract terms; produce periodic metrics, status reports, and audits for senior management. The POSTMAN OSINT workflow management platform will integrate the D3P data processing pipeline and will deliver end-to-end workflow management capabilities to OSINT practitioners across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. While the work is primarily conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely. Onsite days in the JPO office may increase to provide onsite support up to 5 days per week to support the needs of the customer. Exact days in office at the JPO must be coordinated with F-35 customer and approved by your Serco manager. + Previous experience in configuration identification, control, audit, and status accounting; DOD configuration management policies, procedures, review cycles, instructions, and standards; engineering change proposal evaluations. + Previous experience with development, production, ancillary equipment, ground support equipment, test & evaluation, and fleet operations of a DoD and international acquisition aircraft program. + Previous experience evaluating Major Variance Requests, Specification Change Notices, Engineering Change Requests/Proposals, Manufacturing Build Records, Sustainment as Maintained Records and other documents. + Previous experience in providing guidance and assistance in configuration management and change control and ensuring that all Class I (Major) changes and variances are properly processed and dispositioned. + Previous experience in collecting and maintaining process metrics and reporting techniques to ensure compliance with DOD level Data Management Program policies and procedures. + To travel up to 10% Addtional Desired Skill: + Microsoft Offices to include: Outlook,Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and a passionate Serco team.
