Auto-ApplyThe Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout RICO Manufacturing's office and production support areas. This position performs routine and deep cleaning of restrooms, offices, conference rooms, and common areas, ensuring facilities remain sanitary and well-stocked. The janitor also inventories and orders cleaning supplies and reports any facility issues identified during cleaning.
This is a part-time position (approximately 24 hours per week) with the potential to transition to full-time as the role's scope and time requirements are established. The position may require swing-shift hours to allow cleaning during periods of low occupancy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock supplies and maintain cleanliness standards.
* Clean offices, executive areas, conference rooms, breakrooms, and interior glass; empty trash throughout designated areas.
* Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and periodic deep-cleaning projects.
* Maintain common areas by wiping surfaces, tables, and high-touch points.
* Assist with light shop-area cleaning as time allows.
* Manage cleaning supply inventory, place orders, and store chemicals properly.
* Use required PPE, follow safety procedures, maintain SDS documentation, and report hazards or facility issues.
* Properly secure building areas after cleaning.
Qualifications:
* Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
* Willingness to work flexible or swing-shift hours, including some evening work.
Work Schedule:
* Approximately 24 hours per week (schedule to be determined).
* May include a combination of daytime and after-hours cleaning to minimize disruption to personnel.
* Position may expand to full-time based on company needs and workload.
