The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Residential Financing Programs team, with a specific focus on supporting the Smart-E Loan.
The Smart-E Loan is a residential clean energy financing program which mobilizes the lending capacity of local lenders, a vetted contractor network, and the experience of trusted program partners to scale clean energy and resilient home upgrades. The Senior Associate will support the daily operations of this proven, standardized product that assists Connecticut homeowners.
This is a hybrid position with time split between remote work and a minimum of two days per workweek in our Hartford, CT office. Reporting to the Director of the Smart-E Loan, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique organization whose mission is to confront climate change in Connecticut.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Individual responsibilities will include:
Onboarding, supporting, and managing a network of energy and resiliency contractors and participating lenders;
Supporting homeowners interested in and/or using the Smart-E Loan by communicating benefits, providing direction, and addressing any project issues that may arise;
Managing projects through all process steps in the program's online project management platform, including reviewing project information for program compliance and troubleshooting as needed;
Conducting regular Smart-E Loan and project management platform training sessions for contractors, lenders, internal staff, and others as directed;
Frequent correspondence with external stakeholders, including homeowners, contractors, and lenders, throughout the project process;
Tracking partner compliance documents such as certificates of insurance, professional licenses, and monthly lender reports;
Creating, organizing, and executing communications about the Smart-E Loan to stakeholders, with direction from Marketing and program management;
Compiling and reporting partner feedback to improve program processes;
Serving as an external-facing point of contact for program partners;
Generating and analyzing performance reports to help make informed decisions that support the Smart-E Loan in achieving strategic objectives;
Occasional in-state travel to events, presentations, trainings, and meetings; and,
Other duties as necessary.
The overall duties of this position will be refined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the individual hired and the ongoing needs of the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill, and ability are required:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills involving the ability to work with a variety of other parties, at all levels, internally and externally;
Ability to engage, solve problems, and coordinate project activity among contractors, lenders, and homeowners;

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Required:
A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience supporting projects or programs is required.
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for three (3) years of professional experience. In this situation, the candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience.
Preferred but not required:
Experience working in contractor-related customer service and/or residential or commercial solar/HVAC a plus.
Knowledge of and experience with project management, with particular emphasis on customer support and application processing preferred.
The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Associate Manager level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
This position reports to the Director of the Smart-E Loan.

We are seeking a graduate student with a strong interest in sustainability, clean energy, and/or project finance to match their academic work with professional work experience. The Summer Associate will work on all aspects of the financial structuring, investing, and asset management process. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating curriculum, research, and/or practical experience in these areas.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
The Graduate Summer Associate will be a fully participating member of the Green Bank team from day one. Individual responsibilities may include:
Participation in all parts of the investment process, including but not limited to, assisting in sourcing and updating pipeline, performing due diligence on prospective investments, and preparing investment memos and recommendations;
Data collection and analysis to inform cash flow modeling for individual projects, programs, or investments;
Research and document preparation for external and internal stakeholder meetings;

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Investments.
This is a hybrid role split between a minimum of two (2) days per workweek in the Green Bank's South Norwalk, CT office (moving from Stamford in spring 2026) and remote work.
Green Bank internships run between 10-12 weeks from May-September.
This is a 40-hour per week opportunity and paid at $35 per hour.

The Undergraduate Summer Associate will work in a collaborative environment with an exceptional team of experts in climate finance and other climate-related disciplines on investments, projects, and products related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and finance in the furtherance of the Green Bank's programs and goals. We are seeking an undergraduate student with a strong interest in sustainability, clean energy, and/or project finance to match their academic work with professional work experience. The Summer Associate will work on all aspects of the financial structuring, investing, and asset management process. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating curriculum, research, and/or practical experience in these areas.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
The Undergraduate Summer Associate will be a fully participating member of the Green Bank team from day one. Individual responsibilities may include:
Participation in all parts of the investment process, including but not limited to, assisting in sourcing and updating pipeline, performing due diligence on prospective investments, and preparing investment memos and recommendations;
Data collection and analysis to inform cash flow modeling for individual projects, programs, or investments;
Research and document preparation for external and internal stakeholder meetings;
Assistance with coordinating various program stakeholders;
Assistance and analysis with EM&V of various programs;
Preparation of research reports and materials related to the Green Bank's existing programs or areas of potential program development;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

This is a hybrid role split between a minimum of two (2) days per workweek in the Green Bank's South Norwalk, CT office (moving from Stamford in spring 2026) and remote work.
Green Bank internships run between 10-12 weeks from May-September.
This is a 40-hour per week opportunity and paid at $25 per hour.

* Build your network. Starting at a financial center, you'll interact with banking customers, small business owners and higher net worth clients alike. You'll be able to leverage our relationships with one out of two households in the U.S. to help eventually grow your business.
* Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
* Collaborate with core banking and investment partners. Connect clients to the solutions we provide through Bank of America and Merrill to meet virtually all their financial needs.
Required Qualifications:
* Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
* Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity.
* Experience in cultivating client relationships, accessing needs and recommending solutions.
* Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
* Demonstrates a results-driven mindset while prioritizing client's interest in a complex, fast-paced environment.

* Learns and adapts to new technology or applications.

Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience
