    You will be part of the Commercial and Finance team supporting three (3) bp operated platforms in the Gulf of America. The successful candidate will support the Sr. Commercial and Finance Manager to manage joint venture partnerships, joint venture obligations, commercial negotiations, investment decision (economic) analysis and business performance management. **Key Accountabilities:** **Joint venture management** + Support alignment with JV partner(s) as we navigate complex business issues and investment decisions. + Work closely with JV Partners to progress project developments, approve operations in line with agreed plans and mature options for future development. + Ensure JV partners alignment on development plans, JV budget and required approvals. + Support managing JV rights and obligations, JV finance & commercial risks, authorization for expenditure (AFE), Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and JV committees **Investment Decision (economic) Analysis** + Work with bp functional and technical teams to enable business/investment decisions based on sound economic analysis and cases. + Lead investment evaluation / analysis of new projects with internal collaborators and JV partners. + Support business opportunity framing, Area Development Plans (ADP) and project development to establish optimal long term growth strategy. + Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, forecast investment returns, project cash flows, and assess risk exposure. + Conduct valuation analyses using various methods, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, to assess the value of assets. **Commercial Negotiations:** + Support development of new and/or modified JV agreements. + Support resolution of commercial disputes and contractual issues with JV partners or other Joint Ventures while effectively managing relationships. + Support the creation and delivery of commercial plans to progress new investment opportunities in compliance with applicable agreements. + Provide guidance on commercial negotiation through Joint Operating Agreements interpretation to increase value while mitigating risk. + Support efforts to drive incremental value from existing agreements and assisting Sr. Commercial and Finance Mgr in areas of JV audit support, cost recovery and sole risk operations. **Business Performance Management:** + Deliver P&L/ financial analysis, including identifying and working on opportunities to bring efficiencies + Work with Finance Business & Technology (FBT) to support performance interventions, track action plans and manage potential risks/opportunities + Provide inputs to business area on effectiveness of their business plans, including annual plan and Area Business (Performance) Reviews + Work on ad-hoc projects and requests supporting the business area leadership to deliver performance improvement initiatives. **Essential Education and Experience:** + Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent. + Experience in commercial negotiation and investment decision analysis. + Knowledge and experience in working with Oil & Gas business - Gulf of America experience strongly preferred. + Knowledge of common offshore agreements including Joint Operating Agreements, Participation Agreements, Purchase and Sale agreements, Production Handling Agreements. + Skilled in financial and economic modelling.
