Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include but not limited to:
Implementing lesson plans as assigned by the Program Site Director
Ensuring emotional and physical safety of all children in the program
Ensuring correct Sign-In and Sign-Out documentation and attendance of students
Providing physical fitness though games, exercises, and activities to students
Help students grades K- 8 with homework
Follow all protocol and guidelines as set by the Site Director and Program
Qualifications and Skills
Energetic personality who is not afraid to be silly with the kids
Strong leadership skills
Be able to control a class of up to 20 students
18 years of age or older
Minimum of 48 college units OR pass the Academic Abilities Test (administered by LBUSD)
Able to pass a T.B. Test and Fingerprint Background Check

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Crew Supervisor III Irrigation Tech is responsible for the day-to-day direction and training of a crew of 2-14 young adults, aged 18-26 years, in a variety of work and educational activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Corpsmember Supervision:
Supervise, direct and coordinate new corpsmember orientation and lead or facilitate job training.
Maintain discipline, positive crew moral, build teamwork and cooperation among crewmembers and ensure that the rules and regulations of the CCLB are upheld.
Maintain corpsmember management report
Landscaping
maintain landscape in private, public, and commercial areas.
small-scale plant and crop cultivation
Work Project Implementation:
Supervise crew in the completion of conservation and recycling projects which might include building refurbishment, tree planting, landscaping, litter abatement, graffiti removal and prevention, neighborhood improvement, historical preservation, park development and maintenance.
Responsible for safe work practices, proper use of and maintenance of tools, vehicles and equipment.
Assist with the responsibility of corpsmember weekly schedule
Responsible for quality control of work.
Training and Instruction:
Conduct corpsmember training and instructional presentations or workshops in such areas as recycling, First Aid/CPR, safety, driver training, tool safety, environmental education or other areas related to project work or program goals.
Teach corps skills, encourage the development of good work habits, conservation, practices and teamwork.
Crewleader, ACL and driver training.
Reporting Procedures:
Prepare corpsmember evaluations, incident reports and documentation of crewmember attendance, participation and work hours.
Conduct regular crew and individual recycling meetings to discuss corpsmember progress.
Counsel, motivate and discipline individual corpsmembers as appropriate. Participate in staff and corpsmember meetings.
Assist with preparation project reports by way of uploading statistical information and work project photos.
Moving Specialist:
Management and coordination of relocation of offices from one location to another. This includes the disassembly of partitions and/or furniture and its reassembly.
Removal of discarded furniture and transportation to appropriate location of disposal.
Building Maintenance:
Building repairs not limited to electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
Driving/ Vehicle Inspection:
The Supervisor III position requires a Valid California Driver's License and a clean driver's record.
Ability to competently prevent and report vehicle issues through proper inspection and reporting.
Reporting Procedures:
Prepare oral and written reports of purchases, maintenance schedules, expenses, corpsmember evaluations, incident reports and documentation of corpsmember attendance, participation and work hours.
Counsel, motivate and discipline individual corpsmembers as appropriate.
Participate in staff and corpsmember meetings.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Some experience installing, maintaining or using systems for monitored application of water to grow landscapes.

Ability to properly discipline corpsmembers, keep records, prepare reports and communicate effectively with young adults under the supervision of a supervisor.

What are the Primary Duties and Responsibilities?
With the Principal Investigator or Department Head, coordinates all aspects of building a research program including the development of infrastructure and new research programs.
Oversees an entire research program or group of Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Assistants, Clinical Research Associates, and/or Research Nurses.
Oversees research Quality Assurance and Quality Control within their department or division.
Coordinates grant activities pre award through closure (monitoring budgets, compliance, progress reports).
Identifies process improvement areas to assure an efficient and robust clinical research program.
Data compilation, assists with grant proposals, protocol development, scientific publication preparation, and presentations.
May train junior research staff members.
Involved in centralized activities such as auditing and preparation of clinical research policies and standard operating procedures.
Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Five (5) years of directly related experience required.

Position Summary:
As a senior member of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, this position produces clinical diagnostic radiographic images, CT Scans and/or Mammographic Procedures. Position requires certification in 2 or more of the 3 modalities mentioned. The successful research pathology candidate will be primarily involved in designing and building patient cohorts for research projects, pathology annotation, and generating reports for various research projects. The role involves customer-focused support for internal and external research users, providing technical expertise, guidance, and training. The individual is expected to work closely with histology, imaging, and biobanking teams within BRP and is expected to contribute to field development through effective project management and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and performs a variety of research projects for multiple clients that will be different for each project based on the type of disease model and/or pathological conditions.
Leads research projects, plans tasks, assigns work, monitors work, identifies issues/problems, and makes plans to resolve problems. Provides expertise and guidance in designing the cohort for research projects.
Writes and reviews standard operating procedures and maintains a computer database.
Works closely with the Director in project management and customer communications
Contributes to the digital pathology program within the laboratory to facilitate the next-generation pathology annotation modules. Contributes to the development of innovative approaches in digital pathology.
Maintains compliance with institutional standards of patient privacy and safety. Ensures all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and safety standards by monitoring all ongoing activities and interacting regularly with QA and Regulatory Affairs.
Leads projects, trains, and assists in day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
May develop hypotheses and assist in planning steps for the investigative process. Reviews and remains current on literature as it relates to clinical/research studies.

Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, or related science or engineering specialization is required. A master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
Eight (8) years of direct experience in human pathology and, preferably, in other preclinical models. Experience in human pathology annotation, cohort building.
Work experience in multiple disease models.
Experimental design, research methodology, and data analysis.
Writes good documentation and standard operating procedures.
Knowledge of pathology annotation and documentation.
Ability to apply advanced knowledge of Pathology methods and tools.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and attention to detail. Project management experience in a multi-disciplinary setting is highly desirable.

The Genomics Core Biomedical Specialist is responsible for carrying out wet lab procedures involving DNA/RNA isolation from various sources such as cells, tissue, FFPE curls and scrapes, and blood. In addition, they possess expertise in the complete Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflow, which includes DNA/RNA quantification and quality control (QC) analysis, manual library preparation, library quantification and QC analysis, sequencing on the Illumina platform, and analysis of sequencing metrics.

Oversee all accounting activities of the organization and ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
Design and maintain accounting information systems (i.e., Sage Intacct and SAP Concur) to produce timely and relevant financial data for internal decision-making purposes and for meeting funding agencies', regulatory and other external requirements; assist in the on-going upgrades of the Sage Intacct accounting system.
Establish, maintain and monitor internal controls system to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
Lead Accounts Payable system and staff, ensuring vendors are paid correctly in accordance with the terms and that related expenses are properly recorded.

Support the Executive Director/CEO and Deputy Director in engaging the Board of Directors' Finance Committee around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

Finance
Consistently prepare, review and analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to programs, departments and the organization. Ensure reports provide Executive Team, department heads, and senior leaders with the information needed to make key decisions about the finances of their site or department.
Ensure proper booking in accordance with financial plans and forecasts and review actual results with a goal to identify, explain and correct variances as appropriate.
Update the Chart of Accounts when needed to address analysis requirements while maintaining a clean and organized operating structure.
Complete month-end close within 12 business days, with a goal of attaining a 10-business-day close.
Lead monthly financial statement review meetings with program management and Executive Management Team.
Collaborate with Development on all fundraising/development accounting to ensure that revenue and expenditures are consistently and accurately captured in financial systems and are consistent with funder requirements. Partner with the Development Department to develop clear and accurate grant budgets and reports.
Support the Development Department in collecting all pledges and commitments in a timely manner.
Reconcile the Director of Development records with the Accounting Department's records in a timely manner to ensure all parties have accurate information.
Build and maintain relationships to develop strong connections with banks, investors, grantors, and financial institutions. Serve as the primary financial contact, ensuring clear communication and compliance with reporting requirements.
Collaborate and secure resources to negotiate favorable financial terms, manage external reporting, and engage in industry networks to support the organization's financial goals and access new opportunities.
Build a system of checklists, processes and procedures that accomplish the following:
Ensure internal controls are in place that protect the organization against fraud and provide assurances that the Corps' accounting records are accurate and complete.
Streamline inefficiencies within the organization; develop systems and processes that minimize the amount of effort required by the Corps' staff to complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports and invoice processing, while maintaining airtight internal controls.
Implement a continual cycle of review of processes and procedures to ensure that the Corps is running a best practices accounting department.
Proactively identify and mitigate risk to continuously evaluate potential financial risks, including credit, liquidity, operational, and market risks.
Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and protect the organization's financial health. Implement risk management processes, create contingency plans, and regularly review and update strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing senior management with reports on key risks and mitigation efforts.

Required Education and Experience:

The Riera Laboratory studies the neurocircuits controlling energy homeostatic processes in response to environmental cues. We investigate how sensory information is processed in the hypothalamus in response to predator smell, temperature changes and food cues. Our long-term goal is to understand how impaired processing of sensory information can alter metabolic health and contributes to the aging process. For example: Is the reduced ability to detect cold temperatures associated with decreased sympathetic activation of brown adipose tissue thermogenesis and/or white adipose tissue lipolysis and therefore increased weight gain? We use cell-specific viral vectors targeting brain neurons, neuron activity mapping, chemogenetic stimulation and neuron calcium imaging to examine the role of specific cell types in metabolism. Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, or Field Coordinator, the Supervisor I is responsible for the day-to-day direction and training of a crew of 2-14 young adults, aged 18-26 years, in a variety of work and educational activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Under the direction of a Project Coordinator or Field Coordinator, the Supervisor I will supervise all or part of the crew in its daily routine, instruct corpsmembers in the necessary skills to complete work projects, monitor safety, and ensure efficient use of tools and materials.
Maintain discipline, positive crew morale, build teamwork and cooperation among corpsmembers to ensure that the rules and regulations of the CCLB are upheld.
Work Project Implementation:
Supervise crew or portion of a crew in the completion of work projects, which might include building refurbishment, tree planting, landscaping, litter abatement, graffiti removal and prevention, neighborhood improvement, historical preservation, park development and maintenance.
Responsible for safe work practices, proper use and maintenance of tools, vehicles and equipment. Responsible for quality control of work.
Reporting Procedures:
Prepare oral and written reports of work projects, corpsmember evaluations, incident reports and documentation of corpsmember attendance, participation and work hours under the instruction of a supervisor.
Counsel, motivate and discipline individual corpsmembers as appropriate under the supervision of a supervisor. Participate in staff and corpsmember meetings.
Driving/ Vehicle Inspection:
When necessary the Supervisor I will drive the crew to and from the work site and to and from the education site.
Make appropriate vehicle inspections
Adhere to driver policy
Reporting Procedures:
Prepare oral and written reports of purchases, maintenance schedules, expenses, corpsmember evaluations, incident reports and documentation of corpsmember attendance, participation and work hours.
Counsel, motivate and discipline individual corpsmembers as appropriate.
Participate in staff and corpsmember meetings.
Assist with preparation project reports by way of uploading statistical information and work project photos.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of principles of safety, use of hand and power tools
Knowledge of methods of group instruction and motivation.
Ability to properly discipline corpsmembers, keep records, prepare reports and communicate effectively with young adults under the supervision of a supervisor.
One year of experience in working with young adults from a diverse background OR training through the CCLB as a Corpsmember Specialist, Driver or Crew Leader or other leadership position.
Other Duties and Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical exercises, heavy lifting and manual labor.
DMV print-out, Class C Driver's License with Endorsement (effective July 2017) or Class B Driver's license (or able to obtain within 90 day of employment) and First Aid/CPR certification is required as a condition of employment (or within 30 days of employment).

Provides patient care services using general and specialized imaging modalities under the direction of a physician but not requiring constant technical supervision. Provides diagnostic imaging services to patients of all ages. Applies ionizing radiation in the performance of a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis. Responsible for patient care safety. Assists physicians in the performance of interventional procedures and the administration of contrast media. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and equipment. Participates in orientation of Radiology Department staff. Works cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional Diagnostic Imaging Technologist practice in the clinical setting.

Position Accountabilities
